Has to be Anfield, no noise at all from the home ends, even the famous KOP.
Didn’t know that Anfield was Everton’s cast off….
13 February 2011 at 5:18 pm #59372Never heard it as quiet and subdued as that yesterday.
It was a full-house as well.
13 February 2011 at 5:36 pm #59374St Andrews is the quietest I have been to !
13 February 2011 at 6:31 pm #59380Villa for me. Completely devoid of atmosphere !
13 February 2011 at 7:54 pm #59383Our own atmosphere isnt exactly the best is it?
13 February 2011 at 8:46 pm #59398Brentford, Our end was booming but they were silent all the way through.
14 February 2011 at 12:49 pm #59454A quote from a DailyMail Online podcast “Away from home Wigan actually take a fair number and really get behind their team in good voice” by Mark Chapman last August.
And that’s true that the away following in terms of noise is good. 4500 Bolton fans at Wigan aren’t louder than 3000 Wigan at Bolton …. no chance. Even with Bolton gaining a positive result at the DW and us (in the cup) having to play another game we didn’t want to.
But, the DW is very quiet now as it’s never a full house
14 February 2011 at 4:33 pm #59462The atmosphere at DW is nothing short of pathetic…
Sat in the west stand for the first time against blackburn where apparently showing support is a certain no no :naughty:

14 February 2011 at 11:28 pm #59500I don’t think our ground is that bad.
The drummer does his best, as do the singers up that end.
Nowhere near as quiet as Anfield was for much of the game. I was staggered at the ‘pin-drop’ silence.
15 February 2011 at 11:31 am #59517On its day, the DW has a cracking atmosphere. Not been too many days recently though.
16 February 2011 at 12:33 pm #59661For all the media hype & which they seem to believe themselves the atmosphere at St James Park is nowt short of pathetic

People in the west stand fear raising their vocal support to highly as they think I believe (for instance myself), that they may be surrounded by opposing teams supporters who have got in the stand on hospitality tickets or watched two games previously to sneak under the regulation radar and that could somehow incite trouble.
