On the flip side of the over rated thread, who doesn’t get the merits they deserve?
I’ll start off with Michael Dawson. Always rated him as a CB at Spurs yet he rarely gets in the England squad and is usually behind players like Chris Smalling in the pecking order.
Two good shouts there. I was always wanting us to look at Dawson. I think we did when he was at forest, and was hopeful when spurs put him in reserves. Good players both of them.
Gunna, put it out there and say carrick he gets slated always a nearly man with england teams.
He is an amazing passer retains possesion and as “rio” quoted
He puts fires out b4 they happen i think he is a perfect martinez player
Playing at wrong club where he sometimes doesn’t play. He’s scored a couple of crackers against us for Villa and City.
That has to be a wind up?! I agree with the playing at the wrong club part, he should be at Scunthorpe, garbage, running around alot doesn’t constitute a top class player, and don’t get me started on the transfer fee and wages!
When villa sold Barry, Milner, Downing and Young for the money they did, they must have been waiting for a visit from the fraud squad, all 4 if them get in my over rated squad.

Here you go again…..
You keep slating players who have either torn us a new arse, or scored a screamer against us. Do you actually go to our games? First it was Rooney, now Milner. Two England regulars, as well.
Who you going to slate next? Suarez? Lampard?
Well both have scored against us/torn us a new arse, so by your book they must be mediocre. You also slate Downing, a player who scored against us and had a decent game only recently, and who also put a class display in for Villa against us. Another England player, too. That Hodgson must know sod all….
Give up pal, you know nothing about football. Obviously.
So the mark of a good footballer is how they play against wigan? Is that what you base it on?
Downing had a good game the other week? Well once in 2 years is ok I suppose.
If I though lampard and Suarez were shite I would have said so, you don’t need to say it for me.
Milner, Downing? And you say I know nothing about football, you’re making an even bigger fool of yourself than you were already, something I didn’t think possible.

Coming from you, someone who is claiming Rooney isn’t a good player, I think its you who is clearly the fool, pal.
You’ve chosen to slate a player who has torn us apart on several ocassions. Do I judge him on performances against Wigan? Yes. Why not? Do you think we aren’t worthy opposition? We are Premiership on merit.
And yes, he’s destroyed better teams than us over the years. Tell you what, ask any United fans if they missed him today, see what they say.

Now run along now, won’t you….[/quote]
I haven’t said Rooney isn’t a good player, I said he is over rated and hasn’t been as good as he could have been, but its just like you to make up things to suit your argument, and again with the condescending remarks, run along? Don’t be a FOOL mate, you’re being intentionally provocative and that won’t end well will it.

Not being provocative at all. I’m merely explaining why you are talking a load of rubbish. (without the use of childish insults)
You reckon James Milner is overrated? So I suppose the late Sir Bobby Robson, who signed him for Newcastle, knew less about football than you, did he? This being the man who managed Ipswich, S Lisbon, Porto, PSV, Barcelona, Newcastle, and took England to the World Cup semis in 1990?
Yeah, couldn’t spot a player if he kicked him up the arse, that fella. Only discovered Romario and Ronaldo. That’s all.
