It’s been a while since I’ve been with the ‘Runners’, shouted and sang with the ‘faithfull’ and chucked a few plastic chairs….you know what I mean. However, some people can’t go to bed before ‘bitchin’ about how many were at the game today…….
…….my thanks go to you, as I’ve said before, for keeping the visitors quiet. They came in numbers, were vocal and (yes entertaining with their chants – we need a few ouselves) kept their team going……….
you ‘broke down’ their chants and songs and this helped our team and us to keep going……
Fella! (and I know you are young) keep it going – it’s tribal – when they sing …….it disrupts them, which is good.
I’m a little disapointed; as I look at the East and see declining numbers…whereas in the “West”, we old buggers are becoming more vocal – my vote of the day goes to the big guy in a ‘blue jacket’ (he’s always in it) who never fails to stand/shout/swear/express his passion; with other ‘stalwarts who are becoming more vocal also.
To recap….drummer boy – please continue (it works – we saw that today).
For the older members…..less tutting more loud huffing please. (V100’s included)

J’accuse…… c’mon Griff. I was rather hoping that you embraced the wider fervour of the terraces….that, like working mens clubs, is now declining. Your vocal 4, is almost like my vocal 1 (me) ….oh! and those around me.
As I said, it is up to us ‘West Standers’ to continue to be vocal…..
…….and the young ‘drummer’ to continue to keep us going and to ‘disrupt’ opposition chants…
Ironic?……. :shock:
As soon as we get a few blocks FULL (eg.ES2,3&4) involved in the singing, we aren’t going to compete fully with away supporters trying to outsing them.
A referee said a couple of months ago on an online podcast featuring Paul Jewell (who was defending us like hell) that he is never intimidated by Wigan Athletic’s fans. Become more vocal, and we’ll get more things going our way concerning the ref.
