It is starting to worry me the lack of money that we are spending. I’ve always defended the policy, in belief that you don’t have to spend loads to succeed, but when you see the strikers that other clubs are getting in and being linked with, whilst we’ve still got Marlon King and are being linked with a player who couldn’t cut it in the Championship – it is disheartening.
It’s not like we need to spend that much either; similar fees to what we paid for N’Zogbia and Heskey would be enough to bring in somebody of a proven Premiership quality.
Cue us signing Dave Nugent.
