in the premiership worse than us ?
or better still name 3 teams who’s manager will cause them to be relegated.
after the mess at fulham last week and blackburn yesterday, one would assume it should be the managements job to get together with his managment team /players and work out how to score a few more goals and how to stop conceding as many despite having 65% possesion –
perhaps that is a little more important than working for the welsh fa,watching a championship game in cardiff.7 November 2010 at 8:01 pm #50357Going on results:
Spurs
WolvesPlus
Bolton
Birmingham
Newcastle
SunderlandThat are no better, you boring excuse for a football fan (not going to say Latics)
7 November 2010 at 8:07 pm #50360Newcastle beat Arsenal away today plus won their last 2 so how do you work that out
7 November 2010 at 11:04 pm #50378It isn’t rocket science, we beat Spurs and Wolves, therfore we are better than them.
We drew against Toon, Notlob, Mackems and Brum so they are therefore no better than we are.
Just following the logic used by some on here.

i’ll use the same logic -we got battered at home by a team that will get relegated –
you understand where we are heading now and why people are worried

Except it isn’t the same logic, is it?
Sardt quoted facts to make a point about how people use so called logic to argue their case, whereas you expressed your “opinion” that Blackpool will be relegated.
That is unless you actually know Blackpool will be relegated, in which case I would be interested in how you know that.8 November 2010 at 12:38 am #50395It isn’t rocket science, we beat Spurs and Wolves, therfore we are better than them.what a complete numpty.
Based on that theory Northampton are better than Liverpool, Leeds are better than Man United, Hercules are better than Barca and Notts County are better than us.

I think that is the whole point!!! read it all :roll:8 November 2010 at 12:03 pm #50416According to ladbrokes, Blackpool, West Spam and Wolves are worse than us…..
8 November 2010 at 3:25 pm #50431I had been of the opinion that West Ham would stay up until this weekend.Going 2-0 up at Birmingham and only drawing is very worrying for them.
Blackpool.I keep expecting their bubble to burst.Everton are tough, street wise opposition.Getting a point against them was good for Blackpool but i still think they will go down.
Wolves.I think they have enough about them to stay up.Home games against Arsenal and Bolton this week.I think they will win one and prove to me they are good enough to survive. It’s very difficult to predict.WBA are doing so well but are my favourites to go down with Blackpool and West Ham
8 November 2010 at 4:02 pm #50438In would say that at this moment in time, we are favourites to go, probably with West Ham and Wolves.
I do think, however, that we potentially have enough in us to improve and get safe, whereas I can only see the likes of Blackpool sliding further down. West Brom and Newcastle have been the big surprises and whilst I think they too will drop from where they are now, there is no doubt in my mind that we will be in amongst it for the rest of the season.
We need to start eradicating daft mistakes, creating and finishing more chances and stop claiming for offside instead of challenging for the ball – yes Mr Caldwell, that’s aimed at you.
8 November 2010 at 4:37 pm #50443Unfortunately, i couldn’t make it due to a shift change after i’d bought a ticket. So introductions for another day. I think the manager in many ways has become too John Deehan esque, worrying about the opposition rather than concentrating on the strengths of what i believe is a very young but talented squad.
This season is like any other PL season. Take the top five or six out and 14 teams teams are much of a muchness.
West Ham will finish bottom and i predict a squeeky bum Sheffield united away type scenario at the end of the season. At least it isn’t dull.
I miss the Liverpool game too through work so i’m ‘yellow watered’ off. Jobs . co . uk here i come. :(
8 November 2010 at 4:46 pm #50446trouble is bolsh it is dull
8 November 2010 at 4:56 pm #5044790% of Premier league matches are dull untill the ‘business’ end of the season. thats not the managers fault. at least he’s trying different things.
He was a bad appointment in the first place for me too but collectively we need to support him. There is no one else out there at this moment in time.

i think edinbrugh’s suggestion on another thread would be a good shout to replace martinez.
