personally i feel we are carrying alot of average championship players
KIRKLAND ( injury prone but on his day outstanding ) KEEP
MELCHIOT ( done well for us over years, pace getting to him) SELL
BOYCE ( not premiership quality, but never done anything wrong) KEEP
BRAMBLE ( confidence player, but a must in defence) KEEP

SINCLAIR ( 10 mins a game cant really say, dont think he will stay) SELL
SHARNER ( getting better but would put him in back 4) KEEP
RODELLAGA ( getting us goals, always a threat, needs play up) KEEP
SCOTLAND ( tries, but not good enough, be a good sub tho) KEEP
KAPO ( dont get me started) SELL

CHO ( who ) KEEP
POLLITT ( to old, i could have saved that free kick) SELLthat leaves us with 10 players, we really need to buy, anyone else any views on the players we got at moment
5 December 2009 at 11:42 pm #14561You decide to sell the likes of Koumas but keep Scotland?
5 December 2009 at 11:45 pm #14562You’ve forgotten Gomez, another of Whelan’s Championship also-rans. Presume that you’d sell.
And McCarthy. Came highly rated. Maybe one for the future.
And Ben Watson, currently out on loan to QPR.
For once, we’re not massively light on numbers. But quality ….
6 December 2009 at 3:52 am #14582I’m sure if we sold Sinclair Chelsea would have summert to say.

6 December 2009 at 2:39 pm #14589No No Garswood it clearly means send back to Chelsea….. ;)
6 December 2009 at 6:16 pm #14613Just looking at the squad list, and I was alarmed at a few things.
1. Ben Watson. Never really given a fair crack, yet loaned out, whilst our current midfield is being played through with ease. Is Thomas better? I’m not sure.
2. Won Hee Cho. His appearances have been so limited. Why? Supposedly a very good player.
3. The following players really need to be shipped out, either at a fair price or a loss. They are not contributing anything, and are literally picking up ‘money for nothing’. (To quote Mark Knopfler)
Jason Koumas, Daniel De Ridder, Olivier Kapo, Rachid Bouazan, Richard Kingson.
I have ommitted Antonio Amaya, as I really haven’t seen him, so I cannot comment.4. The young players. How good ARE the likes of Cywka, Kupisz, McCarthy, McManaman, etc? The two Poles are no longer kids. Are they good enough to make the step up? If they don’t now, they never will.
(It is frightening how Birmingham have a FAR better and experienced squad than ourselves, when we are the more established side)

Didnt we outplay them for most of the match and if kirkland had been in goal the whole match we would have won!

If they don’t now, they never will.Aparently if the two polish lads are still here next year , they qualify for a testimonial.
Which is nice. :)

Er, not really. It was actually frightening that they played a steady game, raised it for 20 mins, and won the game. They did what we USED to do.
‘Would have….could have…..’ Didn’t. Not sure Kirkland would have made much of a difference, really.
Do YOU not think we seem to be a shambles after half-time? It’s a constant thing this season. How sluggish do they look coming out?
