West Brom (h)My view is that all 3 games are winnable – so
A good return would be at least 5 points
Anything less than 3 points and the writing is on the wallI’d take 4 points from those three fixtures if I’m honest.
Although past meetings count for very little, we usually do badly against Blackburn, especially at Ewood. Might have something to do with the style of play?
Liverpool is a tricky one to call, if Steven Gerrard puts in a performance like he did tonight vs Napoli, then we’re in trouble. If the performance is typified by Lucas and Mereiles, then we could take the points.
West Brom is always a tricky one to call, yet at home, against another team that like to play football, we’ll have to out pass them. The team that passes best will win that one.
How can you say these 3 games are winable giving our very meagre goals for and our generous goals against record, throw in martinez s safety first, pass it sideways,and lets not have ago at them style of play.We have to win them but they are not nailed on :)
It doesn’t feel right that the one I’m most confident about winning is Liverpool!
Can’t see us getting anything against the hoof ball merchants on Saturday, and think West Brom might give us a bit of a lesson on how to play passing football – although it would be good to turn them over just for the look on our ex-midfield dynamo’s face!
