Never heard of him!!
28 October 2016 at 12:08 am #151893Bollocks!
Fuck the EFL
28 October 2016 at 12:13 am #151894Very awe inspiring. Not! Surely this is just a wind up!
28 October 2016 at 12:30 am #151895Just had to goggle him, must be a decent coach otherwise he wouldn’t of been at utd these last 5 years also it would be good to have a utd connection for possible loan players. But having said that I think we might be missing a trick by not taking a chance on Giggs, he’s a legend, people will want to play for him and the media love him.

Have we missed the winter and woke up on the 1st of April?
28 October 2016 at 1:19 am #151900I hated Joyce with a passion when he played against us for Nob End and Noblot, one of those dirty little midfielders that buzz around the pitch niggling and kicking all that goes before um. He might however, put a bit of steel into our team. :woohoo:

What a journey!28 October 2016 at 1:32 am #151901Some of the best managers around started off managing reserve sides!

28 October 2016 at 12:09 pm #151904So why has Joyce (doesn’t sound right) never had another managerial post in the UK since saving Hull’s bacon in the mid 90’s ?. I will be shocked it he gets the job considering we’ve just tried a manager with no experience at League level.
I have a sneaky feeling it will be Robinson as Giggs will not want to join a club with such a tight budget and wage restrictions as us. There’s a big difference coaching a team full of young lads with their ears pricked ready to listen and learn then take over a club with ego’s and unhappy players languishing near the bottom and some wanting out in Jan28 October 2016 at 12:37 pm #151905Sky Sports News…….No formal approach made for Joyce from Wigan Athletic!

The guy TBF has developed a number of players who have gone on to play for top clubs including Pogba who would be in a current world 11 team.
OK not a lot of experience managing club teams, but from a pressure perspective, he is working at a club that demands and expects success at all levels from under 8’s to first team.
He will have managed and let go quite a few players who didn’t make the grade, so will be used to making decisions on players futures particularly those who don’t cut the mustard.
Were we could benefit is from his tactical nous and professionalism expected from the players he manages. He probably had a big say in United releasing Powell so that will be one player who will need to prove his worth.
Joyce would not be my first choice, but I won’t be too downhearted if DS feels he is the man to take us forward.

What a journey!28 October 2016 at 4:25 pm #151908Spot on that JR. The more I think about it the more the idea grows on me. Most experienced managers available are generally failed managers. Joyce ain’t that. He is experienced not necessarily the experience many believe he should have admittedly.

Or – maybe between managing a group of young players who are being paid a fortune, and haven’t a clue what hard work means, and are thinking they are the Johnny Big Whatsits and that success is going to come to them easily, or battle-hardened journeymen pros who know that their only chance of playing in the Prem, and attracting wages like that, is to fight and get the club they are with up the League.
I know there are all sorts of holes in the arguments both ways, but there are two different ways of looking at this, and personally I think managing a team of youngsters is actually a tough job, and if he’s done that well then he has experience.
