Like to know peoples take on Powell because since his injury he’s being doing my nut in. When he first came he was obviously our best player and carried us for the early part of the season, however it’s gone to his head. Since his injury he seems content to strutt around, try the ridiculous and not put a shift in.
This forum is littered with abuse for the likes of jordi, Watson and Caldwell but Powell has so far seemed immune.
Yesterday was the tipping point for me, macca was playing great then Powell came on strutting his stuff, did you see collision give him an earful saying come in lad put it in? Now I’m not saying we would have won if macca stayed on but we certainly lost something in attack.
13 April 2014 at 3:52 pm #129829I like him – a bit greedy maybe, but perhaps that’s just his youth and inexperience. Yesterday however, didn’t feel he added anything when he came on and seemed to spent most of his time on his backside. I was left with the impression that maybe the occasion was too big for him.
13 April 2014 at 4:20 pm #129830Yesterday was his chance to show he is a Man Utd player and he failed.
I imagine Gomez was the 5th taker meaning he also didn’t have the balls to take a penalty.

Macca gave 100%. Thought Crainey was brilliant!13 April 2014 at 5:16 pm #129835Lazy, arrogant and poor decision makingAnd that’s just the Highways Agency for using their discretion and planning the closure on the M6 on the way home for routine maintenance.

The detour through the Staffordshire countryside at 20mph was a pain, but not as painful as my numb arse and cramped up legs sitting on a coach for 4 hours.
Fair play to the regulars who do journeys like that week in week out on their away travels, you deserve medals.
If anyone ever hears that I plan to go on a long distance away match on the coach again, please remind me how horrendous it is.
Coach journey apart, what a fantastic day, our fans were absolute brilliant, how loud were we yesterday?
A fantastic day partly spoiled by the mode of transportation.13 April 2014 at 8:16 pm #129849The potential Nick Powell has is unbelievable, however the term “Johnny Big Bollocks” was invented for him.
Uwe must say to him, you either play for the good of Wigan Athletic or begger off. Would have been better putting Barnett on upfront yesterday than him.

I think he has always been a lazy git.. Because he was scoring goals In the early part of the season this seemed to go unnoticed. He really does think he is a big time Charlie, can see this chap playing in the lower leagues if he doesn’t change his attitude. Was gutted when he came on yesterday.
