Check out the statement on the official site. It just makes it all sound like an agent trying to get other clubs to get in for his player.
Its more than likely to be an agent acting on behalf of bristol city than the player, they will want some cash for him before the window shuts and its probably getting to squeaky bum time as far as they’re concerned, maynard has nothing to lose, get a deal now that suits him best or sit and wait until summer when he can have his pick of the best offers, so it is in bristol city’s interest to bring it to a head.
Better still; sign for the Latics, score a pot full of goals and help us to survive, thus getting the best possible PL exposure, then in the summer the big clubs come sniffing.
