Here’s hoping that notts county beat FGR next Tuesday and our match goes ahead as planned on the 23rd. I’ve took a flyer and booked 4 of us into a bnb on radcliffe road next to the cricket ground.
During our rise up the leagues we first stayed there when playing Notts County a couple of times and then later, Forrest a couple of times and had some great nights out in the city. It is some place for those who’ve not been.
Come on County!!

is it a decent night out for the younger generation like myself? I will be staying over, and I am already in Nottingham the week after on the 30th Jan for a weekend out aswell. After Poker at the casino, just wondered if it was a good night?.
12 January 2010 at 1:26 am #17932Yes it is. It’s a big city though, so be careful.

I’m sure I read somewhere that there is something like a 2:1 ratio of women to men in Nottingham.

Yes, but from my experience it’s often difficult to tell them apart. Or maybe that’s just an age thing.
12 January 2010 at 7:12 pm #17998Ill tell them apart on both weekends round Nottingham dont you worry ;)
12 January 2010 at 9:46 pm #18033The ratio used to be 4:1 not sure what it is now.

What a journey!12 January 2010 at 11:44 pm #18065All bull, the ration is about 1:1 just like anywhere else. Used to go out with a girl from Nottingham and visited a number of times and never noticed an imbalance of the genders. Enjoyed the pub a Trip To Jerusalem built into the caves under Notts Castle very much but I actually hope Forest Green win as Its donkey’s years since I enjoyed a visit to a non league ground.

“Nottingham City has a distinctly different age structure, with many more 15-29 year old persons than the County.
Men outnumber women up to the age of 25, at which point there are increasingly more women than men. At the oldest age groups there are many more women than men.”Sounds like its going to be the owd Southport Riverside “grab a granny” night, revisited. ;)
