Usual excuses will be trotted out in the post match interview, another latics player will be giving it the “season starts here” speech in the local rag. It’s not becoming pathetic anymore – it’s apparent that we have arrived. And I personally can’t see anything changing or any sunshine on the horizon.
10 January 2015 at 9:10 pm #138144I’m feckin bothered!
10 January 2015 at 10:08 pm #138153Bothered but speechless at the moment with all the dross coming out of the club and players alike. We are nearly there and a win would help us ,no shit Sherlock.
10 January 2015 at 10:18 pm #138154This nightmare is never ending for us the fans, the ones who really care.
10 January 2015 at 10:44 pm #138161The fans will always care. The people picking up 20k a week aren’t.
10 January 2015 at 11:02 pm #138163The regular contributors on here, with all their differing opinions are very bothered. It isn’t that long ago when everyone thought this was a blip but now it is becoming very serious.
All we can do is rant but no one is listening to us. Why would they? I just wonder how Dave Whelan feels or thinks about what is happening.
Still he could be carrying the Auto Windscreens Trophy (I know its name has changed)around Wembley again next season.10 January 2015 at 11:17 pm #138167This is what happens when your chairman gets it wrong not once, twice, but 3 times on the bonk. It’s very rare that when a new manager takes over results don’t improve even if only for a short period of time. Ours are actually getting worse, I hope we do go down then these players who get paid paid a small fortune are gone from the club and players who want to , yes want to play for Wigan come through the door.
They should be embarrassed putting their card in the cash machine the robbing feckers
11 January 2015 at 2:59 am #138188Going down would really help not
11 January 2015 at 1:08 pm #138193probably not as a club or a player but as a fan I think it will. We might be in with a chance of winning a couple of games

11 January 2015 at 2:02 pm #138198I think you will find a lot of people are bothered about this situation.
For me the rot set in back in January 2013 when we failed to strengthen the side bringing in poor players who had little impact on the team at a time when we lost our main striker and were having issues defensively .a little bit of positivity at this point may well have kept us up and yes we did win a major trophy but the long term future of OUR football club is now at stake because I am very worried about the future especially when the parachute payments expire.
a drop to league 2 or even beyond that is not too improbable when the money has dried up and the decision to sack our manager a few weeks back may become the most disastrous one in our clubs recent history. We have an oversized, overpaid squad of players and many of the recent signings have been ditched with no replacements found and the striker situation is unbelievable!
I have always been an optimist and tried to look for positives however the teams form has worsened to the point where I cannot see anything other than relegation regardless of what we do in this transfer window.I cannot see the situation being reversed now.we are on a very steep downward spiral that is devastating to witness and it has been so rapid in recent weeks.
the test will be next season and how many supporters will still be around to watch league 1 football because I can see a lot drifting away at that point.
I shall still be going regardless but I fear for our future I really do.11 January 2015 at 4:37 pm #138211whelan is the problem stuck with the club he cant sell no longer willing to invest and nothing left to sell to bring in replacements
how long before he sells the ground to the warriors worrying times
bringing in cheap option managers who have to do has whelan says and folk get on the manageers back when its not his fault he can only use what he has at his disposal
and when whelan says sell a player the manager has to even if he wants to keep him
well pointed out by uwe
so the problem is whelan and time for him to sell and fook off barbados for good11 January 2015 at 4:52 pm #138212There’s nowt down for us. Are they are running the club down into a small league 1 / 2 club that grandson can run like his chippy? Carson might be better suited to working in a chippy though. And Malarky McFly, well if he had anything to do with the chippy it would be turned into a Burger King that don’t sell burgers.
11 January 2015 at 5:29 pm #138216A chippy that doesn’t actually sell chips but does have a plethora of ‘Scraps’ ! :)
