bolton chester chorley QPR wrexham and i believe fc united fans were all there today. wigan didnt go
20 February 2011 at 3:17 pm #60070I was there and saw the fence coming down before the game (loads of wanabees dont think a puch was thrown)
and im told Chester kids and pensioners were ambushed after the game-BANG OUT OF ORDER!.
The atmosphere reminded me of the late seventies at Latics with people charging around and the dreadful fashions in Chorley are years behind as well as the attitudes.
Strange little town .20 February 2011 at 6:55 pm #60078Wait until Chester play at Skem in a few weeks, it’s seriously going to go off. I think we’re at home to City that day, or else I’d go along.
I’m sure Skem’s ‘Subway Army’ firm will turn out for this. There’s one road in and out of the ground, lined by trees, and they’ll be waiting for the coaches. I’ve seen them do it before against FC United. A load of runts who you never see otherwise.
Plus, Chester fans have a gripe with Skem’s chairman, who said they should not have been started off at that level. I think he had a point, to be honest. Chester fans seriously went mad about it.
Skem V Chester..might get a bit….’Tasty’. :angry-boxing:
20 February 2011 at 9:57 pm #60082Already been beaten by City at home. Were away 17:30 or 17:15 kick off. Are we on ESPN?
Use to work on Stanley industrial estate where skems new ground is and I can second the 1 road in and out. Could organise a good ambush from the side of Cadburys

I think it IS on ESPN, yes.
Of course! Doh! I was being docile. :sad-roulette:
SCOFFY, those paths around that industrial estate, are where we all used to head for on summers nights with our cans and cider, when we were 15! :obscene-drinkingdrunk:
I think it IS the day when we are at City, which is also Wigan Beer Festival day, and I’m also working that night. Or, it might even be when we play Birmingham at home. Fairly shortly though. Annoying thing is, for a club like Skem, working on almost unworkable budgets, the Police bill they will get due to the Chester tools reputation.Against FC United, a season or two ago, my mate and I walked back past that way, just off the traffic island, and saw them all waiting in the trees with a load of rocks! If Chester re expecting a walkover…they’re in for a surprise.
20 February 2011 at 10:33 pm #60097I bet if the police cracked a few heads these little tossers would be moaning about their human rights.

Chester have caused trouble right from their first friendly in Colwyn Way. Sounds like they are going around giving it the big one.
Funny, can’t ever remember much from the old Chester City FC.

yeah watch out chester, skems subway army be ready to be beaten by a BLT roll………………………………………..see what i did there, subway, blt roll  :lol:20 February 2011 at 11:16 pm #60115Chester are very big fishes now in a very tiny pond occupied by what is largely former factory teams.Surely the powers that be could have put them straight in the Bluesquare north due to the size of this club.
What is annoying about clubs like this is that they reform and suddenly have an enormous away and home followings unlike the days when thay were a league club when three men and the dog turned up.
Latics always took over the Deva when we went there and even sat in their stands due to the low numbers. If these had fools turned up back in the day when they were a league club things would be so different now.
What they must realise is that although the clubs in the league evostick are whatever it is called may be little @ rsewipe clubs they still have an assortment of headbangers who will turn out and cause trouble like we saw yesterday.
One thing though i am absolutely sure about is that our livelier supporters would never target innocents like that mob did yesterday.
8-)27 February 2011 at 2:42 pm #60578Not that I condone this type of behaviour of course but this made me chuckle, taken from The Citizen (Chorley free paper):-
“…. and a police horse was allegedly headbutted during fighting between football hooligans….
A 37-year-old Chorley man has been charged with a Section 4 public order (offence) and causing unnecessary suffering to an animal.”Don’t know what the horse did wrong but it must have been some head-butt. :confusion-seeingstars:
