Yes that’s what it all has been over the last few years.
Favorites, or one of them to be promoted last two seasons and by god we should have been with the squad that looked so good on paper, but has failed at nearly every level. Defence, mid and especially up front.
Now its division 3…forget the re naming…back to division 3 we go …where we belong and deserve.
I’ll still be there because i never expected owt else, but I dare say that there wont be many of us on and who would blame them!.
16 April 2015 at 10:02 pm #141370Makes no difference where we will be I for one will be watching the lads next season and looking forward to some interesting away games too.
Spoke with some Charlton lads last season who loved it in div three and they only started watching away games that season and thoroughly enjoyed it but they were fans and not JCLs.16 April 2015 at 10:43 pm #141372I’ll certainly be there, and hopefully a few aways as well.
16 April 2015 at 11:44 pm #141373we have built up a decent fan base over the past few years mainly due to being in the prem/ fa cup run and the crowds have held up prety well this season given the shite we’ve had to put up with, lets hope they stick with it next season. I dont really get it when people say they are not going just because we’ve dropped down a division, its still an afternoon out, a few pint’s with your mates/ family, a game of football only the teams we are playing and maybe the quality of football is different. Maybe we will be a big fish in a little pond next season. Whatever division we are in we will always be wigan athletic lets keep the faith.
17 April 2015 at 1:07 am #141377There will be quite a few easy trips. Rochdale, Fleetwood, Oldham, Port Vale, Crewe etc.
Wetting my appetite already all those real clubs.17 April 2015 at 1:56 am #141379I have to be honest I’m really looking forward to some good trips next season and hopefully see some decent performance’s
17 April 2015 at 2:11 am #141380It’s really refreshing to see so many of us really looking forward to next season. I know I am

17 April 2015 at 2:39 am #141385Rochdale, Fleetwood, Oldham, Port Vale, Crewe ….. this season we cycled to Blackpool ….. all these places are with in cycling distance … yeah! More bike rides! They are really good for pre match hydration.

17 April 2015 at 10:42 am #141387Well I hope the Nobbers do bottle it but with a decent manager with a regular two strikers and positive football looks like Nob End have found the secret to promotion.
Let us hope whoever leads the Latics next season follows a similar formula to success. No tippy tappy sitting back and equally no hoof ball but a mixture of everything. The type of football Uwe promised and the type of football we were used to before Martinez.17 April 2015 at 11:10 am #141388Problem is, when we are struggling next year everyone will be moaning again and, rightly so. This has been our worst season I can remember with some decent players in our squad at the beginning of the season. We need to rebuild and I would be surprised if we get near the playoffs next year, hope we do but I can’t see it. Absolute shit performance from the team through to the chairman this year and we didn’t deserve it.
17 April 2015 at 12:07 pm #141389We’ll make the play offs as an absolute minimum. Our history suggests the lower the league we’re in the more games we win. I can’t see any reason why that wouldn’t continue. We’re financially sound, have promising youth players and still have a strong core group of players. Sure, we need a decent striker or two, but come on, it’s League One, not the Premier League.
