    And in no particular order:
80% possession; but slow pedestrian football.
Every free kick that we won was taken short.
This should have been a showcase case where “fringe” players could stake a claim for regular inclusion. It doesn’t bode well when our oldest recruit (Macca) was the only player worthy of our M-o-M award.
This style is not winning games and is devoid of any excitement.
How on earth could the SKY commentator say he was impressed with Hugill ?
In the first half Sibbick was taking the ball upfield into the opposition’s half and looked well composed and effective; but after the half time team talk I think he was told to sit back. Felt sorry for him that it was ultimately his slip that cost us.
I can tolerate getting battered and losing, more than losing in the manner and style that we did.
The clock is ticking and much more of this head in the sand, we are Real Madrid attitude will kill our our dwindling support before Christmas at this rate.
I’ve always tried to give our team unconditional support; but now I fear it is time to throw in the towel and season ticket !!!

Glad that we are not playing Stevenage this Saturday.
Oppositions teams only have to watch how Morecambe overcame our beautiful football; and they’ll have the blueprint to beating us.

Exactly Mr B, how about this one?

‘I’m pleased to announce that we are on track to surpass last year’s Season Ticket numbers, and with Season Tickets still on sale, that number is growing week on week.’

          ‘Week on week?’
He’s trying to say that fans are still purchasing season tickets after the shit show start to the season we have witnessed, one lying bastard and total bullshitter.

Definitely lying about the season tickets, surpassing last years sales and still people buying them. Utter crap. I’ve not renewed and I know of loads of others hp haven’t. I was told the numbers had dropped off by 2000. I saw pics around our usual area in the stand at the Crawley game and there were loads of empty seats where normally people would be. Granted, summer holidays so some would be absent due to being away, but let’s see in next couple of home games how it looks.

See how they feel when crowds have dwindled to 5k or less for league games. There’s only one way to respond and that’s to boycott games. I will NOT be lied to by people at the club. We deserve a lot better than that after the last few years.

Any other club, Maloney would be facing the sack. He’s just a patsy for the owner and chairman, in my opinion. Told he has a job whatever.

If Maloney is happy to work under such constraints and feck all backing, it just shows he has no actual ambition as a manager and is happy to do the role with no fear of being sacked. That’s taking the piss out of us as well.

Awful club with no real ambition, other than to just teeter along. Our old club is well and truly gone.

Time will tell if the only motivation our new owners have is to keep their foot on our throat to stifle any ambition we have by keeping us permanently at Division 1 or 2 level ( or lower )and therefore allowing the Warriors to have all the glory in their cherry and white clad stadium. However , it is still very early days and although the season ticket comments seem hard to believe most of what was said seems positive. They are still making noises about returning to the Premier League and we all know these things take time. It’s way to early to start boycotting games ,let’s see how this season pans out we are only four league games in with a load of new players.

Without sounding too cynical the days of a club like Wigan making the top two divisions and holding their own are over unless radical changes are made to football and it’s finances.
As we all know the club almost went to the wall with the last two visits to the Championship , I doubt we will see that division again for many many years barring a miracle.

I’ve said it before, it’s the devil and the deep blue sea.
I’m grateful Danson’s saved the day regardless of manager and players let’s be grateful.

We’ve massively overspent that past few years and that wasted money needs to be repaid which leaves Maloney with an impossible task.

Our average age is 23 which is super super low and we lack 1 or 2 older heads especially in the middle but my biggest concern is,
Is Maloney the right man for the job. Tactically he’s hit n miss he’s never consistent with Jekyll & Hyde performances through his tenure.

On one hand I think, fook me, I’m moaning here and had it have gone the other way we’d be jumping on the train to Daisy Hill away,
Then on the other hand I think,

Fook me Mr Danson why take on a football club if your not going to invest a few bob especially after releasing all the big earners, you can’t take it with you pal.

Again I thought the timing of starting a women’s football team was wrong especially with our budget been one of the lowest in the division that’s money we could have used then start the womens football team next year.

I’ll be happy if we stop up this season when really we should be building a side for the big promotion push come 2025-26.

Next year 16 players are out of contract 6 loans 10 signed players. With such huge turn over every year it’s impossible to build. For the foreseeable future this is us whether we like it or not but if Danson thinks we’re building for them Prem ??

Wanna buy some magic beans Danson ??

We need a CEO appointed asap. No excuses why this hasn’t happened by now. Even a director of football type figure would be a help.

Danson wants to stay in the background. His money, his choice. But that rarely ends well without a figurehead in charge day to day who the fans can relate to and respect. People laughed at Brenda but we could do with her now.

I know I’m not alone in fearing that before long, we’ll hear the worst of all world’s news, that Radlinski’s duties are being widened. :negative: :negative: :negative:

Whilst thinking that the Mudhutter statement raises some very good points, who is actually to say that the managers transfer targets this season were not the players who he has brought in, and were identified by himself and Gregor Rioch?

I say this because largely, the players we have brought in are of the same ilk, young players with not much experience and games under their belt. The exception being Will Aimson. Is our transfer policy ALL down to constraints put on by the owner/board? Or were these players we have brought in our targets all along, and thus the fact is our Mangement team have just signed players that aren’t very good, on the whole?

I’ve said all Summer we aren’t good enough and that I thought we’d struggle, hence I haven’t renewed. Fact is that whilst I am grateful that Mr Danson bought us and ‘saved us’ as a club, for the senior management at the club to suggest that tbe long term aim is to strive to get to the Premier League again, we are lightyears from that.

Truth is, we are nearer Non League, than Premier League, and without some financial investment enabling some sensible, but wise signings of players who have relevant experience and games under their belt at this level and that above (Championship), we will never improve. And if these players we’ve brought in WERE the genuine targets of our manager and coaching team, then I am seriously concerned.

We are in a real mess at the moment. The squad is nowhere near good enough, we are a poor Lg2 squad at best, and heading in one direction. We don’t score goals…thats a massive worry, and we are a team that concedes too easily. Put them both together and we are in reap trouble. Who is actually at fault though…hmmm, I’m not sure at the moment. I’m not convinced by ANYBODY at this club anymore. It’s a shambles.

I do welcome the statement and the fact that we need answers and to look at what needs improving, throughout the club. But signings wise, we are buggered for now until January. And the way things are, we could be in serious, serious trouble by then. Is Mike Danson going to suddenly give Maloney a multi million war chest? Or is Maloney just going to look at the same old same old type of player? I.E. someone who costs peanuts and who’s played 15 games in the last 3 seasons, scoring 2 goals, or something like that?

We’ll have to see and only time will tell. Is it the owner/chairman, or is our manager just not good enough? Jury is well and truly out.

                          Player

I will also say that if the owner and chairman are in anyway serious about the club ever progressing, they need to seriously…

                            1. Come into the club with a new broom and a fresh outlook. Appoint a CEO to oversee the running of things. And around him, put in a team of people who will help develop the club and improve the club in many different ways from the top down and things like managing the football side of things, through to improving Customer Services at the club, the open-ness to the fans and the creation of an open club where supporters opinions and ideas CAN be heard more and responded and maybe even adhered to. We used to be a very open club..we felt friendlier and far more open as a club, as opposed to now where it all feels closed and rather cloak and dagger.

                            2. A rethink on team management. If we were to change our manager, I’d want a totally fresh outlook, rather than someone who already has club links. I think we need a completely new outlook of an experienced manager to come in and totally overhaul the squad. But that will cost money? Yes it will. But we’ve already made the mistake of going ultra ultra cheaply. There’s cutting your cloth accordingly, and then there’s putting a thong on a gorilla…we need to admit we’ve made mistakes and to start again with a fresh canvas and a new brush.
Just no in-house appointments where cronyism will rule. Someone new to clear the decks and start afresh. NOT Neil Critchley. He plays the same tedious sideways and backwards crap as this current manager, so no thanks. Bring in a manager who plays more upbeat football, 2 up front and who isn’t afraid of going direct when needed.
