Wigan manager Uwe Rosler is ready to sign Manchester City’s out-of-favour midfielder Jack Rodwell, 23, in an emergency loan deal.

13 March 2014 at 12:57 pm #128616Brilliant signing, if it comes off. Not holding my breath, though.
13 March 2014 at 4:49 pm #128627I know if we were to take Rodwell on loan we wont be paying a large portion of his wages but it is strange that we have been able to take so many decent players on loan since Rosler came in.
It adds strength to the rumour Grant Holt is on stupid money which is very worrying.
13 March 2014 at 7:05 pm #128632The problem will be if Holt comes back from Villa.
He’s on a three year contract.
Still, the rest of Coyle’s signings seem to be performing better.
13 March 2014 at 11:06 pm #128640Ask yourself, why has he not been playing for city? :woohoo:
If that Demichaels geezer can get a game, then Rodwell must be a pup.

What a journey!15 March 2014 at 1:53 am #128695I think, if Rodwell accepts the drop down to the Championship he would be a great signing.
As Anelka has terminated his contract at the Hawthorns would anyone sign him till May? Gives us another option up front.

I think I may speak for 99% on this one taz
No chucking fance.
He is a disgrace to the football profession, a player with a god given talent who has abused that gift and spent his whole career putting money before playing.
I remember in 2002, one of our many cup victories ;) over city, the League cup when we were in div 2, Anelka got roughed up in a tackle by DeVos(I think) in the first few minutes, he spent the rest of the game hiding, never had any respect for him after that.

Aye, I think Anelka is just the type of person that Whelan would get on with. Not!
15 March 2014 at 2:04 pm #128706The other problem he may bring, is being injury prone. Our physio is already breaking the working time directive whilst dealing with our current injury list. :woohoo:
