with these cheeky chirpy cockneys
25 August 2009 at 11:50 pm #6552Did you expect any different when you saw the fixture?
26 August 2009 at 1:02 am #6559Been at least 2 pitch invasions so far. How it has been allowed to go on is beyond me.
A few games to be behind closed doors and fines for being unable to control fans??
26 August 2009 at 1:52 am #6563what
west ham punished
sure thing
26 August 2009 at 2:01 am #6565West Ham punished really
26 August 2009 at 2:29 am #6566Sounds like the trouble inside the ground was mainly West Ham….should be banning orders/fines etc aots.
Course, WHU will get away with it, clever Trevor and all that.
26 August 2009 at 2:32 am #6568Tomorrow’s WEP will say it was our fault!
26 August 2009 at 2:43 am #6570tomorrows WEP:
LONDON DERBY MARRED BY WAFC
“violence that broke out between rival fans seemed to be caused by thugs in blue and white tops, despite this being millwalls colours the WEP can only presume the tens of thousands of WAFC fans in the area were the real cause””doesnt happen at the rugby”

just as the evening post forgot to mention the fighting in and around the red robin when they played warrington, that caused the landlord to shut up after the match or the mass brrawl with the stewards in the south stand and skirmishes all over town between the worrier and wolves supporters(or friendly scrum downs as the post would describe it)
26 August 2009 at 3:02 am #6572Not to mention the semi-final against warrington a bit of trouble theer as well

When was that? I know Wire fans were fighting with the stewards who prevented them from doing an harmless conga but I don’t know of the rest.

Thats the whole point, no one ever gets to hear about the violence at egg matches.
People see it all the time, but the WEP chooses not to mention it as it may tarnish the myth of the family game b****x.26 August 2009 at 3:50 am #6586What I mean is – I was at the game but didn’t see the fighting in the South Stand. Maybe the poster got it wrong and actually meant the North Stand which i’ve already mentioned. Nothing as been mentioned on C&W which usually has threads about things like this.

no one posts photographs on the net straight from the police control room the same evening of a family feud that happened to boil over in the ground(i am not condoning that),
there will be no dawn raids by police without a single person being charged and the evening post just happened to be there !No the rugby baised/peter aspinall controlled local media does one thing very well.

Didn’t hear about that mate no. Like I said, usually it ends up on C&W at least.
There have been a number of scuffels at rugby this season but they’ve been merely that. Usually they get broken up before they escalate. i don’t think I’ve EVER seen anything on the scale of what happened at Wet Spam at rugby or football.
