Has Forest’s bubble burst? They’ve now gone three games without a win, though admittedly Burnley and Leicester were tough opponents.
Burnley 3-1 Nottingham Forest
Nottingham Forest 2-2 Leicester
FA Cup Sheffield United 3-1 Nottingham ForestWigan will go to Nottingham full of confidence after four wins in a row, three of them away. That’s quite a change from our form earlier this season.
Brighton 1-2 Wigan
Wigan 2-0 Barnsley
FA Cup Cardiff 1-2 Wigan
Sheffield Wednesday 0-3 WiganNick Powell and Scott Carson may both be fit to play.
25 February 2014 at 5:32 pm #127758Reckon we’ll beat Forest, it will be a close encounter but 3points coming to Wigan. Our away form is turning into a strong point. Now who would have thought that a month or so ago.
26 February 2014 at 5:44 pm #127812Forest were suffering an injury crisis last weekend, with eight players missing at Burnley; Chris Cohen, Jack Hobbs, Kelvin Wilson, Eric Lichaj, Henri Lansbury, David Vaughan, Guy Moussi and Dexter Blackstock.
They fielded this team;
Darlow
Halford Fox Jara Lascelles
Collins Paterson Moussi Djebbour
Mackie AbdounOh yes. Billy Davies has been charged with misconduct by the Football Association for his language towards the the referee at the Leicester City game.

Now who would have thought that a month or so ago.Think you might be right with that but what we must guard against is going into the game overly confident and taking our eye off the ball, so to speak. We did it at Brighton, but it wasn’t pretty. For me I’d take a good defensive performance whilst hitting them on the break with pace. A scrappy 1-0 to us would do and keep that confidence riding into the next set of games.

Very true, but if you read what the forest fans are saying then it’s already game over for them. Bemoaning their luck about injuries, terrible :)
1 March 2014 at 3:10 pm #127980Latics will also be without Nick Powell and Callum McManaman for tomorrow’s trip to Nottingham Forest.
“Nick and Callum are not yet back with the group,” Rosler said. “But we are hopeful they will be back before long.”

Didn’t need either of them in the end, but sure I saw Callum on the pitch at half time warming up?
Great result, hitting form big time now and can’t wait for city. One negative today, Bo had a poor game.
2 March 2014 at 12:55 am #127991Absolute cracking win today. Caught the last 20 mins on wish fm on my way home from work.
2 March 2014 at 2:26 am #127995I thought we would win but not by so much and could of been more
2 March 2014 at 4:20 pm #128018How did they line up, please? I’m guessing something like this;
Al-Habsi
Perch Boyce Barnett Beausejour
McCann
Waghorn McArthur Gómez McClean
MaynardOr did they play three at the back?

They set up in a 4-3-1-2 formation with Gomez playing in the hole.
From where I was sat, yesterdays performance by Gomez was a sheer master class in how to dominate midfield. He has improved his defensive game no ends and simply glided round the pitch linking play with ease.
I personally have always seen the best in Gomez, but any doubters as to his ability, must surely now be fully paid up members of the Jordi fan club. :cheer:

One poor pass, or one missed tackle, would probably be enough for some.
