Now’s the time to come together, even if you don’t believe in the manager, the players or the chairman, sing for the club, shout for the shirt, scream for your pride.

But if we sign Diouf my season ticket will be getting flung. :x

So your saying that you would rather see us go down with the team we have rather than stay up with Diouf in the team?
28 January 2011 at 12:03 pm #57255So basically its “time to come together, even if you don’t believe in the manager, the players or the chairman, sing for the club, shout for the shirt, scream for your pride.”
Unless they sign someone you don’t like?????? :?

At least there’d be a new club villain to replace Martinez and Whelan.
28 January 2011 at 1:05 pm #57267I do it every home game,I anticipate change, I think ” This is the turnaround ” , I sing ,clap and get behind the lads but then when I realize that nothing has changed it sort of takes the wind out of my sails. I end up just sat there staring blankly at the pitch in amazement at how someone can be so obstinate ! I often leave thinking ” Why do I bother ! ” This routine I go through because I am a WAFC fan and I return each time ! I know I wouldn’t keep returning to a restaurant if the food was consistently bad so why do I do it ?

You’ve build up a great friendship with a lot of the regulars, and you see many of the staff as friends of yours.
So, when the food is no longer enjoyable, you can either continue going and hope the quality will improve again, stop booking tables until the food quality does improve, or alternatively, stand up from your table, boo, point at the chef and sing ‘You don’t know what you’re doing’, then spend your weekend eating chicken in a basket and watching the restaurant from the pub across the road.

I have paid for my meals upfront so no bar snacks for me ! Sometimes I do give the coffee a miss and peg it to beat the bridge, only if the meal is a complete disaster though ! The chef does unnerve me by just standing there with his arms folded !!
28 January 2011 at 6:40 pm #57292The chef does unnerve me by just standing there with his arms folded !!Here’s one thing that has always puzzled me. Would you rather have a manager that stands by the side of the pitch thoughtfully watching the whole 90 minutes, or one who sits on his @rse only jumping up every now and again to rant and rave at the 4th official?
28 January 2011 at 6:46 pm #57294Perhaps they want Barry Fry or Neil Warnock as manager…..

Id just rather have a different manager. The standing / sitting thing doesnt bother me. After all McLaren in his tenure as England boss stood at the side of the pitch thoughtfully watching the whole 90 minutes (under an umbrella i grant you) and the result was the same – dire football by some dire over rated players. Still, from a good number of your posts its apparent that you spend more time watching Martinez in his brown shoes than the match.

28 January 2011 at 11:16 pm #57320A chippy does not count as a “local restaurant” :)
