Looks like Charley boy will be leaving after the weekend (possibly before) as talks from the North East are saying he is ‘despreate to leave Wigan’. Latics want 12 mil, they are offering 8 mil, a deal somewhere in the middel is soon to be done apparently.
Lets hope Bobby has got a good replacement for him lined up already. I personally don’t think it is the end of the world losing him though I would obviously prefer him to stay.
Take the inevitable 9mil we’l get and turn that into 2 good signings, could make our season! ;)

can you post a link for this -i have done a search of northeast newspapers – zilch- and there is nothing on the sunderland boards-in fact the only mention of it is on wiganer.net -perhaps you posted that as well.
i think this could be a bit of wishful thinking from a sunderland fan -the same sunderland that now shop at harrods,a real big club – makes you wonder how such a massive club can lose their biggest star to a team flirting with relegation ?

Unless, of course, we break the habit of a lifetime and actually bring in better options than we are letting go, but I don’t see thatg happening.
Anyway, it hasn’t happended yet so no need to panic at the moment. Hopefully, we’ll both be wrong.
