I think he’ll go too but where does your claim come from
I’ve seen an article today in which Bobby talks about him leaving but only if a club regularly in Europe, and if our asking price is met & if Whelan says the money can be re-invested in the team.
He specifically mentions a move to Brum wouldn’t happen
then they wonder why nobody goes to games fooking starting already ,he can fook off whelan ,next year i will save my money, mind you it will be championship .
Shame, he’s easily been our best player this season, and still and outsider to go to the World Cup, okay very outsider if that is such a phrase.
I just hope Whelan can get every penny he can out of him, if Palacios went for £14 million and Valencia for £17 million, I don’t see why we can’t get a similar amount for Charles as he’s of a similar quality and the clubs interested will be top 6 sides like Villa, Spurs etc.

Is it that time of year again Bicky?
Remind me to dig out the links to articles that were posted at the end of last season.
It was inevitable, and is necessary to keep the club operating.

You joking? We will not be in the championship.
But I understand what you are saying… Already there is tlak of our best players going… I hate it and feel similar…Then I begin to think rationally and realise that it is the way our clubs needs to be run.. And the club will not lose my support regardless.

If you had been around in 1994 when 1,800 (sometimes a lot less) were on Springfield Park, I think you would feel differently about saying ‘then they wonder why nobody goes to games’.
If you were going in 1994, then you must have forgot.
If you haven’t forgot, how the heck can you say that 10,500 season tickets and an average of 18,000 be classed as ‘nobody goes to games’ …?
Bickymon and his clan were deffo there in the old days. If you were you will know him :o
The post still stands then.
Idiotic comment coming from anybody who was really there, I know I was and will therefore never slag our support, our team or our manager, because nothing can be worse than those days.
yea i was there through the springfield park days .so was my father and my sons ,remember going to the likes of wimbledon midweek ,i also went to places like runcorn, fleetwood in the non league days ,went to wembley latics v scarborough early seventies ,i had high hopes watching them through every division ,when we got to the prem i thought it would be just the one season but we did fine, the fans turned up in thousands first and second season ,then whelan and his i must sell my stars syndrome kicks in ,so the family gets pissed off, final straw for me was palacios and heskey leaving , so i did not go to another game after that ……. i was going to get a season ticket start of this season so were my sons ,but the fiasco of cats once more changed my mind i said fook it (bobby cats wont be sold, whelan sold him)……untill the club shows ambition i wont be back , now its zoggy ,roders ,even heard moses could be leaving .well whelan can fook off

It is frustrating that we are a selling club, totally agree with you and it’s something i’ve moaned about regularly, I do hope though that with the wheeling and dealing that Whelan’s done, so far successfully, one day we will not have to sell so many players season after season.
When you see the state of so many clubs at the moment, reality kicks in and I for one accept now that we must sell some of our better players, in order to balance the books and keep a steady ship. The one thing you can’t stop is the rumour mill.
