West Brom want 8 million for him so I read today
I assume you are laughing at the fact we can’t afford the 8million asking price? Rather than laughing at him being worth 8million?
£8m is a bargain given current prices being paid.
IMO he’s a good ‘un.
Agreed, but I’ll still be surprised if we pay it. Or that he’ll come. :violin:

I was surprised when we signed Heskey, Kirkland and again when we got N’Zogbia, so you never know.
Mind you, I was also surprised when we signed Larry Lloyd.
Maybe I’m just easily surprised, but I have a good feeling about this one (there, that’s probably cursed the whole thing).
17 August 2011 at 8:24 pm #70175He has tweeted this afternoon that he will only be leaving West Brom for a TOP club. Obviously depends on his definition of a top club but it probably rules us out.

Fair enough though not its quite like moving from West Brom to Wigan. :scared-eek:
From Matlock to ManU

If it’s 30+ year old strikers we’re after , JR would probably come to us.
18 August 2011 at 11:23 am #70181But JR wouldnt likely score for us whereas Odemwingie appears to be knocking them in for fun !
18 August 2011 at 8:25 pm #70191PETER ODEMWINGIE is the latest to tell Wigan they are having a laugh if they think they can sign him.
West Brom boss Roy Hodgson slammed the Latics for their “ludicrous” £3.5million bid for the striker, 30, this week. And now Nigerian Odemwingie – who bagged 15 Premier League goals last term – has also stuck the boot in.
He said: “I love this club and will leave only for a TOP team.”
Odemwingie has been offered a pay rise for the last two years of his contract but wants a year extension.
19 August 2011 at 2:56 am #7019919 August 2011 at 11:39 am #70200You know what I didnt expect him to come, and I suspect Bob didnt eaither, but a cheeky £4m big for a 15 goal a season prem striker wasnt a bad idea. His agent and the media used it to get him a new contract. Well dont the player.
Tic toc, we still have 2 weeks to go…
