Whilst we are getting the credit for our football (and isn’t it a pleasure to go down to the DW these days?) the one thing that gets my goat up are the comments:
Liverpool had a bad day!
Chelsea had a bad day (and still managed to win – thanks for nothing)!
Man United had a bad day (it was all because Scholes wasn’t on the pitch)!
Arsenal didn’t perform well!
Newcastle didn’t get going!
Common on guys! – there is a common denominator here. It’s called Wigan Athletic and on each occassion Bobby’s tactics and the team effort was so much better than theirs that they were made to look ordinary and prevented from turning up. It wasn’t their lack of “turning up” it was a case of being “turned over” by a team built on a fraction of the perceived values of the others.
