Read somewhere he should have signed before game on saturday but on last minute another championship club hijacked the deal
Anyone heard anything about this ?9 January 2017 at 5:57 pm #153907On Thursday of last week, it was in the media that Rotherham are interested !
Makes the mind boggle, all this transfer malarkey.
9 January 2017 at 7:09 pm #153916The Millers have had a bid of 850,000 rejected so I would find it unlikely he will end up here unless we sell our stellar players first.
9 January 2017 at 7:30 pm #153917Sell Morsy who has made it known he would prefer to move on, get rid of a few of the others the likes of Colclough and get him bought. We will have Gibley back soon enough and rumours about a young lad from Derby for the middle of the park.
Were doing everything right bar that last 1/4 of the field and by all accounts he’s a big lad with pace, our new Emile Heskey :) which might be just what Grigg needs (that’s if he plays the two together)
By all accounts this Bogle is 1 club away from a much bigger move so lets be that stepping stone club be us so he can get us out this sh*t and make a few bob when he does move on.
Get the money Sharpe and take that one last gamble or are we gonna clear out again, sell the assets Grigg and Yanick and rebuild for the upteenth time in preperation for life in Div1 ?, I hope not. The standard of football in Div1 isn’t the best to watch.
9 January 2017 at 9:14 pm #153918Byrne gone to Charlton on loan.
10 January 2017 at 4:47 am #153947When it comes to buying players and, especially forwards for clubs like Wigan it’s all about taking the gamble when buying.
Will he be any good at Championship level ?, if we knew that we wouldn’t be able to afford him it’s as simple as that. Get the cash down, take a punt and pray he hits 15-20 goals on before the seasons out. Without the goals were dead and buried 0-0″s won’t save us.10 January 2017 at 1:05 pm #153949When it comes to buying players and, especially forwards for clubs like Wigan it’s all about taking the gamble when buying.

That’s some ask is that!

OK 15-20 is over doing it abit agree but we do need someone who can come in and make an instant impact, make a goal, get stuck in to defenders as opposed to waiting for the perfect delivery to arrive. We don’t have time to build another side we can do this in the summer. It’s a gamble granted but personally I think were that one player off clawing our way out the mire. I’ve seen far far worse sides well above us this season.
Watching and reading about Bogle he has alot of potential, can he do it at Championship level?, if everyone knew this he’d be in the 3-5 million bracket and going elsewere
10 January 2017 at 4:33 pm #153952Do we drop Grigg for him because we won’t play them both.

Didn’t Grigg score 19 from January to May?
31 January 2017 at 8:04 pm #154787Bid Gone in according to SSN. £750,000 rising to possible £1m :woohoo:
31 January 2017 at 8:08 pm #154788Now enter brentford with bigger offer than us odds on
31 January 2017 at 8:09 pm #154789Allegedly Leeds,Hull,Swansea,Reading also closing in on him.Can never understand teams of prem status arsing around for weeks then leaving it to last day for a 1 mill striker.Would love to nab him.Think the leap to prem a step too far at this stage so Leeds probably in the drivers seat.
1 February 2017 at 3:23 am #154826so Latics are after Bogle and decide to actually bid less cash up front than Rotherham but were prepared to pish around with 250k of add ons just after you’ve made £6 million on Yanic.
Not bad business, we get rid of Fondre Davies and Yanic and bring in two young lads we can loan straight out like Colclough and and McKay.lowest goal scorers in the league dont bring in a goal scorer.
