There’s a big advertising board advertising the rugby. Advertising new season at the mo, but advertises matches during campaign.
Why have we not got similar?
Also listening to GMR and the advertising by Man City is relentless.
Isn’t it time we had some sort of advertising campaign in order to try and add more faces to the ground.
Final note, I have said it before and despite trying to ask the club, never receive a response.
When we play a club that are capable of bringing more than 5000, why isn’t the East Stand have a partition. A lot of grounds do it, just seems such a waste not taking advantage of other clubs.31 January 2010 at 8:34 pm #20722they can do what they want not interested in that tinpot sport, what league do they play in again is it the lancs/yorks league or somthing like it
31 January 2010 at 8:37 pm #20723there is no bigger advert than being in prem its just that people wont pay £28 minimum for a team they have only just started watching, if the club is serios about getting more locals in keep it cheap every game no mattrer who it is. The gate money isnt huge its the TV money that keeps us going in prem, maybe a few more on would inspire 1 or 2 of the players a little more
31 January 2010 at 9:08 pm #20730Well, at least on Tuesday they will only have to shell out £15, so that excuse wont wash…
…Full house anyone?
Thought not.

31 January 2010 at 9:30 pm #20738sorry but isnt 5000 visiting fans enough of an advantage for visiting teams???

Fulham seem to have found a solution to empty seats. Has anyone in our commercial team thought of getting in touch with their counterpart there and asked them what they have done?In the meantime, surely it would make sense to give the East Stand over to the away club.
For the 6 games or so a season that the away team could sell more I’m sure its the easiest option. On another note, does anyone know why the capacity of the away end has been reduced to 4,600.
Why are the front two rows now not allowed to be used, and why are the no-mans land areas needed at the ends.31 January 2010 at 9:55 pm #20744We should be looking at ways to fill the home seats before we do anything like that.Exactly

No idea about the bits at the end (unless its to try and prevent the old missle throwing but im not sure how it would)
1 February 2010 at 12:42 am #20779My mate was telling me last night that his brother in law was walking past that poster the other day and saw 5 Wigan Warriors 2010/2011 season tickets nailed to it. There was a sign above it saying “first come first served”, he thought, I’m having some of that………………………………..
…You can never have enough nails…
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!1 February 2010 at 2:12 am #20785We should be looking at ways to fill the home seats before we do anything like that.

So why doesnt Whelan rip the b100dy two front row seats out if they can never be used?1 February 2010 at 2:21 am #20787Better still, rip the first 15 rows out of every Stand and let us stand up like we should be able to.
1 February 2010 at 10:27 am #20795sorry but isnt 5000 visiting fans enough of an advantage for visiting teams??? :roll:Do you prefer the atmosphere when we play Utd/Liverpool or when we play Fulham.
You prefer an empty ground to a full one obviously.
Why don’t we just give the away fans 200 and leave the stadium empty? :roll:1 February 2010 at 3:38 pm #20829The Fulham thing….Someone down here told me that match tickets for Fulham home games are bundled in with touristy stuff “A London Tour with English Premiership Match” He said you normally see loads of Japanese tourists in the ground.
…never seen them myself but hey!
Cant see Wigan tourist board doing the same
