26 September 2011 at 12:08 pm #71766Give it a week or two !
Suddenly we are looking ropey after the great start… we had. Villa away, you can bet your houseon Zog scoring against us if he is available, We will be under pressure with Bolton, Newcastle away looks dodgy these days, by the Fulham game we could be in real trouble.

Real trouble :naughty: :naughty:
That would be about ten games into the season then and already relagated why oh why do we bother
27 September 2011 at 12:13 pm #71819So a quarter of the season and we missed the opportunity to keep clear of relegation and more than likely settle into the bottom 3, thats positive then. Sorry I must have been mistaken !

28 September 2011 at 1:16 am #71867we are the smallest team in the premier league- it’s always going to be a struggle for us, unfortunately, and the players we sign are going to be the ones who are, by and large , loans, youngsters or not really wanted by the rest of the premier league. therefore, they are going to take time to settle in- hence not playing them straight away.
We will be ok this season I reckon, but I’d rather have this perennial struggle than to be like portsmouth, leeds or birmingham, who have a brief taste of success then end up relegated and skint.30 September 2011 at 12:44 am #71959we are the smallest team in the premier league- it’s always going to be a struggle for us, unfortunately, and the players we sign are going to be the ones who are, by and large , loans, youngsters or not really wanted by the rest of the premier league. therefore, they are going to take time to settle in- hence not playing them straight away.

i’d rather be 2 divisions lower enjoying football again than this perenial struggle.

He is neither, he’s just like many of us, absolutely pi**ed off with watching boring dross week in week out, with one decent performance every now and again
I think I could count on one hand how many games I have enjoyed in the last few seasons.
Watching us struggle to stay in the league all those years ago was more exciting than most of what we see at the moment.

What i am finding harder and harder to understand is now we have become known as a struggling club with little or no ambition that will inevitably get relegated anyway, and that is why our better players want to leave or we can’t attract better ones, why don’t we throw caution to the wind and go for it now and again ala the west ham game last season.
We may get beaten, but what is happening now with the dull un-adventurous, we still get beaten so why not go down in a blaze of glory or perhaps we may even win one or two.30 September 2011 at 9:40 pm #72008He is neither, he’s just like many of us, absolutely pi**ed off with watching boring dross week in week out, with one decent performance every now and again I think I could count on one hand how many games I have enjoyed in the last few seasons.

30 September 2011 at 11:06 pm #72011The bit in bold. LMB is one one of his “everything is shyt and always has been ever since RM came without even one moment’s respite” tirades.

People may have opinions, they have a right 2 but COME ON, some of the posts lately! Just going via this thread it seems like people HATE Latics at the mo? All im saying is if your sooooooooo P****D off, don’t go to the games! A true supporter expects & accepts the good the bad & the ugly! Why not go & buy a season ticket 4 Chorley, Leigh? You might enjoy there style of football. Look were we are, would you REALLY like 2 see us get relegated? We are premiership & yes i do think it is the best league in the world!

i thought it was resignation actually on my part, i have lost any fight i had in argueing my corner or opinion over the continuing employment of martinez’s tactics, because, it seems, anyone who actually believes that his systems and overall play are just mind bogglingly dull, as i do, is not a true supporter, just look at every latics fanzine website, all the big hitters past and present have made an appearance this week telling anyone who cares to listen “how dare they expect better or more from such a small club like latics”
