As per usual I’ve been and have arguably witnessed the best home display in 5 seasons. :cheer:
Hope nobody takes the shine of it by saying it was only Scunthorpe, they would have beaten anybody tonight.
For the two up front brigade you got your wishes with a very strong 3-5-2 formation.
I also had to hold my hands up to my mate and admit Craig Davies was outstanding and pushing for the MOM along with the other 10 players.Perhaps a certain friend of ours at CL gracing the pitch before KO may have given us the luck we needed. ;)
Well done GC, well done players, well done DS, lets hope this gives us the confidence to go on a decent run.

What a journey!Well what a difference a striker makes. Well two actually.
Perkins MOTM in his Kavanagh Sheridan Brown Bradshaw Cattermole role bossing midfield. Davies looked the part in the partnership with Grigg and hopefully they can stay in that role together.
All together a very positive attacking performance. Just wondering if Gary has lost Bobs number and gave Paul Jewell a ring. Whatever a very Jewell like performance which also contained some lovely passing moves.
Hope that we see the same set up and side on Saturday. Well done tonight GC and the boys.Can’t disagree a very good performance and we bossed that game from start to finish .

Not sure about that after that Herculean run against arsenal and utd in 2012 but easily the best performance since the birmingham home game last August .

Hard to pick a motm but thought McCann gave a superb composed performance tonightI was in Austin Texas back in 2012 and my Brother messaged me to to say that Wigan were playing like Brazil, it was halftime and they were 4-0 up against Newcastle, I managed to get a link to the game for the second half but I had missed the Brazilian magic! :angry:
Credit where it’s due. We were as good tonight as we have been as awful first two games. Davies made a massive difference as an outlet up front and the other ten players looked decent. Scunthorpe were bloody awful but certainly feeling more positive than Sunday!

Couldn’t get there last night. Maybe i’ll stay away as well.
Good team effort BUT this passing from the back all the time needs to stop,even Scunthorpe made us look stupid at the back at times,they knew before us what we were going to do,MIX it big boot and some passing from the back then teams will be wondering how to play us.
Absolutely superb last night and no gloating about the 2 up front, I’m just really chuffed GC saw what we all saw in the previous games and changed it, something the previous regimes haven’t done.
He deserves enormous credit for last night as do all the players, special mentions for Davies, Grigg, Cisco Jr (love watching him).
Me and the lad watched them kicking in before the game and I don’t think Grigg or Davies missed, scoring nothing but blinders past Jussi.
On another note Odelusi looks banished, as does McKay, but have I missed where Tim Chow is?
