One loss in Four

I think you’ll find the majority on here having ago are Latics fans through and through and are just voicing their frustration through the only* means available to them.

*6,000 fans are using the only other option, which is staying away completely.

Everyone wants the best for our club, and in an ideal world that would be with Martinez at the helm.
We do however not live in an ideal world, and Martinez is showing that he is not up to the job.

He wants to play nice passing football, which is great when you have the talent at your disposal to do that (eg. Arsenal).
We haven’t got the required talent to play like that so we should try to vary it from time to time.
But there lies the real problem, Martinez will not waiver from his principles and he shows no willingness to change his systems,tactics and formations at all.

The players look scared to death to do anything with the ball bar pass it side ways or backwards.

On Sunday we played two positive balls forward from midfield, both were from Ben Watson, and both in the final 5 minutes.

If you are happy to watch this negative, boring dross then so be it, but I for one expect better, or at least expect the Manager to change his tactics from time to time when everyone can clearly see it isn’t working.

I will carry on going myself as its in my blood, but don’t be suprised if we have our first sub 10,000 PL attendance sometime soon, because we are watching the worst football I can ever remember WAFC play, and that includes the dark days of Division Four. At least there was effort and a bit of passion back then.

I am not going to get dragged into debating this, but as far as Multi’s go, I have never seen any that have only had the first post 16 months after registering.

We have about 900 registered users to this board that have never posted, it looks like this one has just snapped – I hope we see a lot more of him as he certainly touched a nerve on his/her first effort.

You do wish we could capitalise on other teams mistakes once in a while !

Whenever I go into my local there’s usually somewhere between 12 and 25 people in there. However, the loudest voices are the miserable feckers who like to moan (inc. the landlord :lol: ) . 20 odd others are just out for the night.

This site’s a bit like that. A few that make a lot of noise and then a majority that just get on with supporting the club.

I still don’t know if Martinez is right for us, or not. I’ve certainly been really angry at some of our performances. However, I still get behind my team and support them. I don’t boo, or rant anonymously from behind my keyboard.

Losing 2-0 to a team full of superstars that cost ten times more than ours (*not actually worked this out. It may be more) isn’t too bad in my books, even at home

losing is not the issue here and you well know it –

the issue is the lack of organisation,poor tactics, a spineless team with no fight and most of all sheer boredom from endless needless passes,until we eventually give the ball away.

the opposition can have as many stars as they want, it doesnt hide the fact that in 14 months this management team has turned a competetive side into one that lies down and dies at every opportunity – last year you claimed bruce’s deadwood was the reason – now they are gone can someone tell me the reason it has got even worse this season,despite all bob’s new signings.
perhaps its people like me who ‘rant’ on message boards or in the pub, that are causing our on field ineptitude.

No he wont he is so pig headed and stubborn he plays one way and every man and his dog can see it’s not working. He needs to go because I believe we have a half decent side struggling to get out but we will never realise that potential under this clown.
