I am a Latics fan about to move to the UK from Australia. I have heard that if you cant always watch all the games on TV. is this true?
Ive looked on the latics website about online membership but cant find much information.
i would like to join up as a member and is there a way i can get a membership which allows me to stream the game on the net if i cant get to the ground?
any help from my follow latics supporters would be great. feel free to email me tduesbury@gmail.com
GO THE LATICS!
ps now Chris kirkland has moved on…can we bring back Filo as our reserve keeper???? just a thought…
Welcome to the forum Aussie Latic. All may seem harmonious on here, but wait until the season starts…
Unfortunately, if it’s a 15.00 kick-off on a Saturday, it can’t be shown on British TV. For away games (etc) that people can’t get to, they tend to show the games in pubs using foreign TV channels, or, posters will put links on the forum to sites on which the games are streamed (the quality of the streams varies, and you’re lucky if you can watch a whole game before the link is taken down).
You can watch Saturday lunchtime, Sunday and mid-week games on Sky Sports & ESPN (you’ll need to subscribe).
As for Filan: last time I saw a photo of him, the name Filo is quite apt as it looks like he’s been on a diet of filo pastry since retiring.
Adding on from what Standish said about televised games Sky do a thing called football first where from about 9:30pm onwards you can watch extended highlights (bout 60 minutes long) of any game that day.
In all fairness Filan always looked like he was carrying a few more pounds than the usual professional athlete but what a fantastic keeper he was for us!
He is a GK coach for Sydney FC now and from memory he always intended to return to Australia sooner rather than later as he didn’t want to raise his kids in England (cant blame him).
Make sure you bring some of that sunshine over with you pal.

This is the Lionel Messi of football streams. It costs about 40 dabs a year for membership but has all the EPL matches live in top quality pictures.
You get all the PPV stuff, at the races, racing uk the lot. They also have on line help if your having any trouble, which is very rare.
The dogs bollux with no viruses!! goodpost

Where are you moving back to Aussie Latic???????
“I have heard that if you cant always watch all the games on TV. is this true?”……If you (we) cant (sic)always watch what is true?
“Ive looked on the latics website about online membership but cant find much information.”………why not try here first.
We are a sociable, non inclusive, non judgmental, non cliquey type of forum looking to the future……..welcome aboard???????
As said earlier – Filo is now a Lilo!!!!!!! we may need better……just a thought…..
I’ve just moved from OZ to Cambridge for work. I was hoping i wouldn’t miss a minute of the latics if i got Sky Sports but seems like its easier to watch games back home. however i am looking forward to watching it at respectable hours and not 2am.
Don’t know if ill be able to get to many home games but I’m close to Norwhich and London so ill be at those away games.
