    System won’t let me renew online because the seat next to me is not sold; it keeps telling me not to leave a gap.

    I’ve had the same seat for 17 years and don’t want to move now.

    Anyone else had the same problem? I’ll call the ticket office on Friday when I’m off, but in this internet era what a step backwards having to ring up to do something I’ve done online for years!

    No further on with my renewal. Tried calling the TO several times today but waiting times were 40-50 minutes each time.

    Looks like I’ll have to go in person tomorrow before KO.

    Really not impressed that this cannot be done online in this day and age. Ok I could change seat by why should I after 17 years just because the computer says so? :-(

    Managed to find a work around out of this mess.

    Went into the ticket site on my phone and started to buy the seat next to mine as a new ST. Paused at that stage before checkout, then logged in on laptop and hey presto, it let me proceed as the system thought the adjoining seat was in the process of being sold.

    Must be a better way of running a ticketing website! :wacko:

    I had the same problem trying to “buy” my two free tickets for the Sunderland game! Sorted it eventually. I understand that for a game where you are buying tickets that they don’t like gaps being left, however for a season ticket renewal, where the system knows that it is already your seat – that seems a bit of a faux-pas to tell you you can’t have it!!!

    My season ticket for some unknown reason is under my kids email.
    J can’t even see my season ticket so say j want to buy an away for me and my son it says you have exceeded the limit.

    So the only way I can buy one is by phone or go to the ground which most times is not possible.
    J can’t renew mine online again because its not showing in my sons email login. My problem is, if I renew over the phone it will be locked to my sons account I’ll not be able to see it or access it online and I’ll go through this all again next season.

    Why tf don’t Wigan hand the job over to a ticket company!!!!!!! Ffs Wigan sort your sh1t out!!!.

    email on jason@wiganathleticslo.co.uk, with the names, seat numbers and email you want them associated with, and I will see what I can do…

    Thanks for the offer but tbh I don’t think there’s anything you can do as it’s a system error. I have been told the system is sh*te and the problem affects hundreds of season ticket holders. It was brought up in the q&a with Ian Brannigan at the supporters so their fully aware of it.
    Twice staff have had a go at changing my season to my email login to mine but it doesn’t work. I was told there’s nothing I can do till the whole ticket process is revamped and sorted in the summer. For me they should have put the whole renewing process on hold till they got their sh1t together.

    Again, my issue is, I will have to renew over the phone and have my season ticket will be again linked to lads were my doesn’t appear

    Just pick up the phone ! The good old fashioned way of communicating.

    Took me all of four minutes yesterday afternoon.

    That’s less than the time added on, that Sunderland normally get in a game !

    Phone ?? you serious ?, I spent 1hr 15 on hold not long back. tried yesterday 29th in queue 49minute wait yeah good fashion way m8 ,,,,for flying fs.
