15 August 2010 at 8:53 pm #42718Sorry but I won’t be joining this boycott. I supported Latics when we were bottom of the entire league and I will continue to support us this year and next.
There are serious problems at the club at the moment but hopefully the true fans will stick around and we will get through it and all the hangers who can’t handle a bit of a rough ride will go back to whoever they were watching before
Well said Scholes, it was embarrassing yesterday, but true fans shouldn’t jump ship after one match.
There are serious issues within the club that need sorting, hopefully these will be sorted sooner rather than later. We will weatherr the storm, with or without Matinez at the helm.
I have to admit that I backed him all the way last season, but yesterdays performance has made me question whether he his right for our beloved club.
I honestly feel we have to give him six matches in total, and if there is no sign of improvement then he will have to go.That said, the players have to take the brunt of the criticism for the debacle yesterday.
Only Moses, McCarthy and Stam can take any credit from the match.
Boselli & Alcaraz were playing their first competetive matchs so they should be excused some criticism.
The rest were diabolical.
Figuroa was the worst of the lot, and will never be a Premier League left back while he has a hole in his rrrrs. Come on Bruce offer us £3M and he’s yours.
Kirkland is not good enough and the Bolton lad should start next week.
Rodallega is nowhere near good enough for this league.
Diame did a few nice touches early on, but does not boss the midfield enough.
Ghouri & Boyce are average Campionship standard players at best.
Watson didn’t look half the player he looked against Arsenal at the end of last season.
All in all a very embarrasing day at the office.
Martinez is going to have a very busy couple of weeks, we are already 3 or four players short, and N’Zogbia. Scotland and De Ridder could be gone this week.P.S. If N’Zogbia wants away, which is a great shame, but if he doesn’t want to play for us then get shut. The £10M that is being quoted is far too much, but if they are daft enough to pay it, snatch their hands off.

I’m not buying a word of that change of tactic above.
15 August 2010 at 10:02 pm #42724What have you been drinking Bickymon? i might nip Bartons and try some. I’m no Whelan fan but that yesterday was not his fault. He tried a new manager with new ideas. We all wanted it to work, it hasn’t. New manager needed asap, while there’s a glimpse of transfer window left.

think about yesterday – then think about that xmas/new year long midweek minibus ride to west ham when the motorway was shut and half the coaches didnt get there – roberts and camara scoring and playing them off the park – and singing all the way home.
