Gone to Vegas forthe week because they drew against Arsenal… their fans aren’t getting on their case either, how weird.

Were they going to Vegas if they lost?

i watched barry hearns interview yesterday and he clearly said
“we are all going to las vegas at the end of the season as a reward for everything the club has achieved this season anyway, this result and the income we get from replay at the emirates just puts a top hat on it, I would be on the first plane to vegas tomorrow but my wife wont let me shes the sensible one and knows that this result and the revenue it brings in will pay for the long legal fight ahead to oppose west hams move to the olympic stadium“.
trip or no trip to tenerife latics players in the bolton game could not be bothered or were told not to,the only people not in the loop were people who paid good money to watch that night – and that is a disgrace.

they obviously weren’t told to not try. They were given a chance to prove fight there way into the first team and it was their chance for some of the fringe players, none of whom took it

to suggest a manager would ever tell his team to not try is the most ridiculous thing ever (bar some match fixing bla bla bla)
you need your head checking if you think thats what happened21 February 2011 at 11:45 pm #60195LMB cannot accept that the players are in way to blame for poor performances. It is all the fault of Martinez, as is everything else.

I cannot for the life of me believe that the club, i.e. Whelan and/or Martinez, would deliberately tell players not to try. What possible benefit would that serve and what kind of message would that send out to all those involved at the club?
Surely, you can’t believe they were told not to try.22 February 2011 at 12:54 am #60206LMB cannot accept that the players are in way to blame for poor performances. It is all the fault of Martinez, as is everything else.I’ve heard the Egyptians are planning a protest for him to resign
22 February 2011 at 1:16 am #60210far be it from me to even suggest that martinez or indeed anyone else involved with wigan athletic asked any player to deliberately loose a game.
but there was a distinct lack of effort to change things by the brown shoed, waxwork mannequin stood on the touchline, and an even lesser show of fight from the players on show.
this thread started about leyton orient, who’s players ran, chased and gave everything they could in earning a replay, they dont deserved to be mentioned in the same breath as the overpaid gutless journey men on show against bolton on wednesday.22 February 2011 at 2:00 am #60211far be it from me to even suggest that martinez or indeed anyone else involved with wigan athletic asked any player to deliberately loose a game.but there was a distinct lack of effort to change things by the brown shoed, waxwork mannequin stood on the touchline, and an even lesser show of fight from the players on show.

Certainly more shocking a result that a one-nil loss against Bolton.
I deliberately omitted the phrase ‘journeymen’, as aside from Pollitt and the two Caldwells, the remaining players are too young and/or have had too few clubs to qualify for that description surely?
I think it’s a case (Wigan and Arsenal) of young players who don’t give a toss about the FA Cup. Why should they? It’s not the FA Cup that pays their wages.

Yet another throw away accusation by you that has no foundation – have a look through all my posts and find where I have ever suggested that he never made an effort to change things ????
By all means disagree with what I say, but at least offer some constructive alternative that is at least credible, if you’re trolling my posts like you do with James c looking for a reaction you are barking up the wrong tree I won’t bite to your childish, playground, cat calling responses.
