i seem to remember willing members stood in line in the old club house holding their grubby hands out for the thirty pieces of silver on offer- as i recall no one was refusing or protesting.

I haven’t played since the early nineties unfortunately mate. Started there as a thirteen year old and quit then I was twenty three as I’d discovered my knees were made of chalk.`poor attempt at a wind up`…P iss off…

To be fair Loudmouth, they had been promised bigger and better things for the club if they sold their memberships to Whelan, and a lot of those people who did sell their memberships had been involved in the club for decades, as had their father/grandfathers before them. These same people are now trying to get the club back on its feet again.
