    Helped by the referee !

    Just watch the highlights.
First half: Josh M was wrestled in the box for 3/ 4 seconds – ref missed it .
Lang was defo fouled in the box – ref missed it.
Thelo’s shot was deflected for a corner off any one of three Reading players – ref missed it.

Second half: Thelo was hauled down on the edge of the 18 yd area by three Reading players – ref turned a blind eye,
Their mon falls over, with Maxi in close pursuit, on the edge of the 18 yd area – ref blows for a free kick. (Ince scores).

We deserved a point from a dull game, but the ref didn’t want to upset Ince senior, did he.

This sort of ref shit has to stop !

150% correct.. normally a very sound sleeper . but was absolutely driven by madness because of that TWAT yesterday ..can accept our teams faults/misgivings but he was a total and utter CUNT ..keeper should have been yellowed/red carded .. how many times did the arsehole walk towards him / beckon him to hurry up .. their players trudging off ..seemed to think that the previous nights wankers were still playing , with their ‘ tackles ‘ .. and these tossers ‘ ‘ run ‘ the MAJOR sport in this country

Dead serious about this .. we ought to arrange an annual . post season event , to mark ‘ twat of the season ‘.. that bastard yesterday will take some shifting..huge plastic vagina , dry ice [ like stars in their eyes ] and one of us walks out , wearing the kit of the team . against whom we have been most severely ‘ screwed ‘ bearing a mask with the arseholes face on it.. tonight . ‘ Matthew ‘ etc ..fuckin. ‘ blazing ‘

Let’s get this right , yes the ref was poor yesterday but he was not the reason we lost the game. That first half goes down as one of the worst I have ever seen watching Latics. We just can’t seem to break teams down at home ,we always look vulnerable and it was no great surprise when they scored. Yes ,it was not a free kick but they had two or three other gilt edged chances that went begging. We have to sort out our home form otherwise it’s going to be a very long ,hard season.

I did make that point before my tirade .. about our own shortcomings..but we too had at least 3 opportunities to score too .the annoyance was the pereceived or otherwise agenda against us by the non application of the rules ..flagrant fouls, time wasting etc , keeper should have been double carded , dropping like flies when there had been no apparent foul/injury .

Seems to be a trend this season with away teams time wasting. Bristol City and West Brom did it, in fact we have been accused of doing it on our travels. Like you say it’s the referees that allow it to happen. Their goalkeeper on Saturday should have been booked early on ,he took it to ridiculous levels late in the game ,to be fair the ref added eight minutes injury time but about six of that was wasted with time wasting.

Ref was p1ss p1ss poor but that seems to be a trend of late very poor reff’ing, we never got into any type of tempo. I’m not quite sure why we have 2 left backs out the squad but use McClean instead he seems to struggle especially been the age he is getting back.
We are screaming from the hills for a midfielder someone to boss the middle. I thought we might have replaced Cousins in the summer simply because he’s had more injuries than Evel Knievel

A few weeks ago I posted how I thought we could yet again surprise everyone as possibly Sheff utd apart I’ve not seen any team streets ahead. That feeling still remains even after such a tame effort Saturday. Probably won’t come up against poorer opposition than Reading in 1st 30 mins and yet for all our possession created 1 chance. My problem is the continuing starting selection of Magennis. Yes he works hard ,but his percentage of long ball wins is poor and we look decidedly a one trick pony side. He has had a fair run but Liam must start to introduce Broadhead at the start. He is very quick footed, and quick minded too. He he’s the pace to get in behind and gives the rest better on the ground options. Then we have 2 other target men available in Wyke,Fletcher. Shinne has been revelation and is a must start. I just think we continually produce nothing at home when we start Magennis .20 mins into the game and the opposition have sussed and negated us,then start to impose themselves. Reading should have been dismantled in 1st half hour but we always start way to pedestrian.
