I’m like everyone else and feel shit at the moment, yes Cookies fucking up most weeks and costing us dearly but performance wise today that was a lot better and we looked dangerous then Cookster waves his wand and oh fuck here we go again,their goalie had a blinder otherwise we’d be celebrating now like we’d won the league.
Cookie sort it now we play like that and hopefully results will look after themselves.very disappointed. I think we actually played well. Reading at times were playing like sunday afternoon park thugs. The ref had clearly got money on the result and he’ll be a happy bunny tonight. Powell had some sublime touches. At 2 – 2 with a 5 minutes to go we should have shut up shop, pulled the shutters down and been happy with a point. Reading weren’t even all that good. I was pleasantly surprised with the starting line up and consequently was reasonably optimistic of getting all the points.
Seems to be a trait with our manager that somewhere in the rule book it must say you defend a one goal lead for the last 15 minutes, even if youre dominating the game.(twice as many shots, twice as many chances created)
The negative impact on the players to this sort of change in tactics,(when playing well) upsets the rhythm / flow and confidence, particularly when what you’ve been doing has been working fine. It says to the opposition you can set up to attack us.
All of a sudden the opponents are swarming all over you and its like starting a game from scratch.
Our problem is the manager’s lack of confidence in his players to continue as he has originally set up and kill a game off.
You defend a 2 goal advantage not 1 goal. You’ve gained that advantage by playing the way you are and more often than not it will be good enough. Defending a 1 goal lead is difficult even for world class defendets.(P.S. we don’t have any)
Cook is far too negative and we WILL be in a relegation fight. Our players are not really the problem. What they get asked to do is.
That is down to Cook and he’s failing.
Lets hope we survive but it’s not looking good. At this rate we’ll be bottom three when we play Brentford unless Cook starts being positive for the full 90 minutes.6 points out of 54 away from home tells its own story. We have 10 games left, forget the away games,reckon we will get max 8 points by hopefully beating Bolton & Millwall and draws with Preston & Brentford. Max 44 points – hope its enough. Whatever happens we need a change at the top.

I lost count of the number of draws that were turned into defeats and wins that ended up as draws because the team were not capable of sitting back and defending what they had. Similarly, I struggle to remember many points gained in the last few minutes.
Perhaps its fitness – are the squad as fit as the opposition?
Your saving grace could well be Rotherham’s run-in, which on paper looks horrendous.
QPR, Norwich, Derby, Forest, Villa, Stoke, Swansea, Birmingham, WBA, Middlesbrough.
So if we lose at Blackburn does it start next Saturday ?, then the week after ? Brentford at home??.
As per usual were looking at others and their results rather than concentrating on our own. It’s in our own hands so why the fook are you looking at others ??, unreal.
Team selection and subs has been our problem of late which is the fault of the manager.
He gets the starting line up correct yesterday then decides to make subs when were on top.Clarke comes on and offers no outlet what so ever. He couldn’t hold up a helium balloon and at 34 years of age he still has problems grasping the offside rule.
Yesterday only highlighted the how inept our manager is. I’m sorry to tell you our season started back in August not in March.
You just brush our seasons form under the table and suddenly change and start again ? wipe the slate clean ? easier said than done. Infact, with every point now meaning that but more I can only see us been more and more negative and more away losses on the cards.
