11 February 2010 at 6:26 pm #22425As for being racist, I find Gomez offends me by being lazy and to be racist one must find another behaviour offensive therefore Gomez is also a racist.
Good grief !!???
11 February 2010 at 6:36 pm #22426As for being racist, I find Gomez offends me by being lazy and to be racist one must find another behaviour offensive therefore Gomez is also a racist.Totally lost me there. My wife says I’m bone-idle when it comes to assisting with housework etc. So, does this mean I am racist?

11 February 2010 at 7:08 pm #22434Sometimes, but most of the time I’m just so cotton-pickin’ angry.
11 February 2010 at 7:11 pm #22435Gomez deserves to be boooooood as he is a lazy waste of space. I do not think he should be booed for coming on but after he has had another lazy performance as fans we deserve to question his ability to pull on a shirt and by booing this is our way of showing.Martinez also should have been booed on Tuesday as he lost us the game from a winning position yet again by being stupid with his subs and having no tactical knowldge.
I pay my money to watch the team and am one of the few who bother to go away from home so I will boo at every chance I get when they do not perform as they should. They get good money and are asked to try hard in training and try hard on the field that is all we ask as fans. Gomez does not try hard and there fore insults us as paying supporters.
Jason Scotland on the other hand does try hard but is not good enough to play the lone striker role so probably does not deserve to be booed.

Rant over boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooAnd when we reach the end of the season whether we stay up or go down and someone asks you what part you played in it, what will your response be
“I booed them”
11 February 2010 at 8:02 pm #22442My response will be that I attended as many games as I could and suported my team whilst making my opinion known.
I will then state that I had no part in us going down or staying up as I am a little old fan with an opinion and my reaction make no difference to how the team performs.
I will then if time allows explain that I voiced my opinion to remove lazy spanish footballers and clueless managers by going “booooooooooooooooooooooooo” to there mind boggling decisions.
Thats what I will say, what about you?
11 February 2010 at 8:08 pm #22444I will then state that I had no part in us going down or staying up as I am a little old fan with an opinion and my reaction make no difference to how the team performs.Oh but it does.
A team lacking in confidence will perform better in a stadium filled with supportive fans
or
A team lacking in confidence will perform better in a stadium filled with booing fansYou decide.
11 February 2010 at 8:48 pm #22452The “Jiggaboo” comment really stunned me.

Nobody ever played better as a result of being booed. Compare us to Stoke fans. They might be a bunch of six fingered backward talking inbreds but they showed our lot up on Tuesday. They turned up in good numbers and sang their hearts out, had to endure what was a woeful first half for them, 1-0 down and could have been a couple more. They didn’t boo them off at HT, they came back 2nd half and sung even louder. Nearly cheered their team on to a win whilst all around me people are hurling abuse, barracking and booing our team. All that cack in the press about us not deserving a Premier League team, well if certain fans continue to get on their backs all the time then they will no doubt boo us all the way back to the Championship

Yeah, Stoke fans were a credit to their club. When they were singing “Your support is f***in sh*t!”, I did actually think to myself, yeah, it is.
It is though, isn’t it? Not a patch on when we were in our Championship promotion season. I think for whatever reason, a lot of our support from back then, has dropped off.
And the support IS dwindling. There were 7 season ticket holders missing who normally sit near us. Ok, so their money is paid, and the club won’ty lose out. But it’s still more empty spaces. I was quite shocked really. If it’s similar next Tuesday, in a REALLY massive 6 pointer against the Cowyeds, then the stay aways need a slap.
12 February 2010 at 1:02 am #22498Don’t believe in booing the team or a particular player, but I can understand why people do it sometimes. However, unless a player has threatened to go on strike or said he doesnt want to play for us or something similar, to boo a player as he comes on the pitch is totally and utterly out of order and those who booed Gomez as he came on should be ashamed of themselves.
12 February 2010 at 1:53 am #22502I also think Gomez is sh1te but can see no milage at all in booing any fooker as they come on…that’s like not wanting them ( or the team ) to succeed.
12 February 2010 at 2:06 am #22505Gomez should also be ashamed picking his wages up every month

12 February 2010 at 11:55 am #22512Gomez should also be ashamed picking his wages up every monthSo should you. What a grown up contribution to a generally reasoned thread that was.
If I walked into the office and everyone booed* and said “ayup, here’s that useless to$$er again”**, I’d be tempted to skulk around all day, keep my head down, do as little as possible, frightened to death of putting a foot wrong. I wouldn’t offer to forego my wages though.
