Isn’t it strange that going back 30 years plus for England we’ve so called the best players squad at international level but we never won anything
For me our players are not as good as we would like to think. Our so called World class players win everything at club level this is because thier integrated with better foreign players.
Once we put them all together and there’s no foreign element we are dog shit.
There’s no better example the other week in the Euros Final and then the golden period Beckham Scholes Lampard Gerard Rio the list goes on and on.
Once our best English players are mixed in with foreign players their world beaters (Foden been one) but as soon as there all put together at international level playing together for England their true ability shines through or the lack of itTheir v.g. players but without the influx of the better overseas players at club level they are nothing more than average
Make your mind up mate, one minute it’s Southgates negative tactics that are the problem next minute the players aren’t good enough. so is it Southgate the players are poor or just a mixture of both?

Look, Southgates to blame and our players ain’t what their all cracked up to be. Seriously Rice £100million ? Trippier had the worse season ever ask and as for top shagger Walker ?.
So in one game Walker brings the ball out and Mainoo’s on the half way line. Walkers now on the edge of the centre circle line and it’s a 6 yard pass to Mainoo. What does Walker do? he starts hand jestering to Mainoo to come to him, what ? 6 yard pass?? how f*ckin close does he want him ???.he then turns and gives it back and proceeds to bollocks Mainoo.
Rice did nothing bar pass sideways pass back lose it but he remained in the middle. In a fair few games (bar a couple of bits) Bellingham stunk the place out p!ss poor average.it was the job of Southgate to make changes and he didn’t. A large portion of our squad saw hardly if any minutes
Spain didn’t have the best players you only have to look at Morata and Navas but they had a manager who got the best out of them.
We are always told every tournament we have the best players but this is us telling ourselves we do.
The managers negative approach coupled with some very overrated players who look far better surrounded by foreign players lost us the game.
