I’ve just listened to why Wednesday get the points next season. Because the season should have ended in May and the disciplinary hearing was still going on they would have been still found guilty now so obviously points are deducted next season. Makes sense. Why doesn’t that logic then apply to us? had it ended in May we wouldnt have gone into administration and therefore wouldnt have had a pending points reduction ourselves. There cannot be 2 different rules for this surely.

If you go into administration before the 4th Thursday in March then the penalty applies that season. Had the Stoke game been played when it was supposed to then it would have been prior to that deadline.

The problem is, that covid screwed all that up and the timings of the season were not as rhey should have been so you can’t punish us using that logic.

Our whole administration is as big an example of force majeure that you’ll see but I doubt we will get any reprieve. If i’m honest the only reason I want the points back is financially we can sell players at a higher price. We’ll get some serious hammerings next season in that league.

But has our situation not been made worse by the EFL imposing the deduction immediately. With the doubt surrounding the owners why did they not impose a points deduction suspended pending investigation. We have lost our manager and players for next to nothing because of their knee jerk reaction. I cant see any good times ahead at present unless their is another Dave Whelan out there somewhere.

In DWs defence, all was going well until this second sale. Money spent on the squad, money spent on the stadium, money spent on the academy.

The same Dave Whelan that rescued a club on the verge of going out of existence, built a fantastic new stadium, got us into the Premier League, oversaw an against all odds F A Cup win and after taking what he thought was expert advice left us in what he believed were “good hands”
Some folk just don’t appreciate exactly what he has done for us.

The second “sale” wasn’t a sale at all though was it? ….it was just some ‘paper construction’ …a deliberate ruse engineered just to facilitate this travesty.

Not that I blame Whelan in the slightest, Choi played his part at first and surely did sink money in, but when he realised this ‘getting to the Premiership lark’ and the untold riches awaiting there is a sight more difficult and way more expensive than he imagined….and that our drain on his resources was adversely affecting IEC valuation he decided to drop us like a hot brick.
