      Did anyone else see a Tweet last night stating that Sky Sports were reporting Michael Owen has signed for Latics on a one-year contract?

      Was it an old Tweet or just someone taking the pee?

      I was hoping to get through summer without us being linked to Owen or Santa Cruz. The only reason I could see us benefitting from signing Owen would be the publicity which might bring in a few more fans and he might get a couple coming off the bench. However I wouldn’t touch him with yours!

        I think it may be someone taking the Michael (pun fully intended)

        I’d heard he’s rumoured to be signing for Everton as he’s turned Stoke down.

              Course I’d have him at the club but not if he’d be asking for the stupid amounts of money you’d expect him to ask for.
