Just got ‘pounced on’ this morning.

Was literally one minute in a shop and came out to a parking fine on my windscreen. It’s from CMS Ltd.

      Does anybody know:

A: Do they actually follow these up?

      B: Are they legit?

£50 the B**tards want. Ok, it was my own fault, I was daft. But they must have been waiting to pounce. I went and had a ride around looking for the b@**ard……typically nowhere to be seen. I am fuming.

All I was doing was getting my baby son a lolly from ‘Birthdays’. Expensive lolly, eh? No parent and child places spare, so I parked in the nearest to it, in a completely EMPTY row, which apparently was a handicapped space.

If I have to pay, I WILL make them wait as long as I can.

Parking in a Handicap bay has been debated on here before as I remember, people deserve what they get if you ask me.

          Was I asking you? No.

Are you peeved that someone takes your parking space?

And if you’re being a nob like that, what about all the people who park in parent and child spaces? They were all taken, and I am sure they all weren’t parents with their children.

And let’s be honest now, and if you are reading this and a driver, think about this. If all the handicapped spaces were filled by handicaps and people in wheelchairs at places like Robin Park and Asda, you wouldn’t be able to walk around the bloody place! The cinema car park is the same. If they were all filled by handicapped and people in chairs, you’d never get in the cinema or Pizza Hut. And it would also contravene several health and safety regulations, no doubt.

Again I ask, what is peoples experience of this company. I don’t give a monkeys about whether I was in the right or in the wrong. All I want to know is about the car park company. Do they chase you if you don’t pay? Thanks.

I hope you decide not to pay it, then they take you to court and they double it.

My dads in a wheelchair, and VVankers like you deserve all you get.

Are you too lazy to walk an extra couple of yards??

Good thread on RLFans at the begining of the year

I got a ticket from the same company a while ago. I’ve had the 2nd letter telling me they’re going to increase the fine to £80. I’ve ignored that and I’ll ignore their next. They can kiss my riggert if they think I’m payin £50 to park on a half empty car park

Did you read what I say, nob?

I had a baby with me, and all the aprent and child spaces were taken, so I parked right at the end next to them, as near as I could to them.

It’s not only no legs and glass-backs who have trouble getting about, you know? FAR too many handicapped spaces and people with blue badges who don’t even need them. I know one fella who has one for his mother……

she’s been dead 8 years. Honestly, that is the truth.

So don’t come across all self-righteous with me. Half the people are only disabled when it suits. I know another bloke who gets a car on disability. Still, he looks pretty able to me when I see him dashing in the bookies….

I think some of your comments are out of order Vat .Indeed their are some people cheating the system but dont tar every one with the same brush the mon could be telling the truth

                    #48677

Vat, I really wouldnt want to wind you up or get agressive about this. But you seriously have a beef about disabled people having dedicated parking spaces in car parks? You also feel its right to do this based on others bucking the system.

My god what is the world coming too.

                    #49421

About 3/4 of the UK’s parking spots are for so called disabled drivers.

No problem with people in wheelchairs etc but what about the ones who drive 4 x4 ‘s (not the easiest to drive) and go ballroom dancing and walking the dog 20 miles a day. Even the DW gymn has about 30% of its bays allocated.

People with Blue Badges shouldn’t be allowed to park in non disabled places just to even things up a bit.
My Dad is a BB holder and even he says too many of them take the ‘yellow water’.

Policing and fines are the way forward…..

I remember two posh girls parking in a disabled bay in Edinburgh and one was bragging that it was her grans badge and how much ‘fun’ it was to get away with parking. I overheard this and went and spoke to the girl, threatening to key her car if she did it again, tails between the legs she went away with an extreemly red face. Felt good :)

Back to the point. You dont need to pay it, cos you dont know who was driving the car ;) . Type CMS parking in google and all the help you need is there!
