From where I could see Martinez was showing passion during the game, talking to the players constantly (whether they were listening is another thing) when they made simple mistake he was talking and encouraging.

No, sorry, I actually meant I can see us signing Williams from Swansea (after a prolonged transfer wrangle), signing some second division Spanish player or some Honduran, labelled as “one for the future”, and making “unsuccessful bids” for 57 other players, according to numerous sources, with Brenda Spencer telling a packed press conference that “We actually missed out on signing Paul Scholes on loan, because it was a choice between faxing the form before the deadline, or going to the toilet. And I needed a wee.”
No doubt Dungeonmaster will be too busy sunning himself with Sir Cliff “Huh, Hi Dave. Fancy a game of tennis? huh”, and drinking Daquiri’s on his verandah, to be too concerned. No doubt he’ll have a soundbite or two to offer Sky, by direct sattelite link, though.

It’s just so f*ckin obvious. I can’t believe how many fans hide their heads in the sand.
We couldn’t, and WOULDN’T, ‘splash the cash’ after finishing 10th in our first season. (That was a BAD mistake) So what chance do we have of splashing the cash now, as a struggling side, full of bad players, no strength in depth, and a defence that is opened up easier than a tarts legs?
Warning signs were there on Saturday, even in the first half. Like when that guy miss-kicked in our area, the ball bounced up and hit him TWICE, without our players getting in, and he then had another shot. Really, we were flabbergasted at the way he got another go at it.
