      Has apparentely signed a new long term contract. Great news if its true & puts all over rumours to bed hopefully.

        Sort of agree with you but can the tactics Paul uses work again in The Championship? Suppose that depends on the squad he has to work with.
        Can we keep up those brilliant away performances? Can we improve on our lacklustre home form?
        If so it is great news indeed.

            Well you can’t complain really with the promotion, goals, defence and cup run but the home performances haven’t been exactly exhilarating in the league at times so only wondering if in the Championship will we get away with some of those performances were we haven’t been able to break teams down.

              I get what you mean donny, but one reason we failed to break teams down at home was mainly due to the fact that we were the big fish in a small pond. Teams saw wigan (& blackburn) as the big boys, so employed tactics to stop us. It will be different next season as we will be one of the smaller fish, so i expect teams to be more open.

                I doubt the likes of Leeds, Villa, Derby, Middlesborough and whoever comes down from the premier league will be parking the bus when they visit the DW – and why would they?

                I suspect Cook’s success next season will be measured on how he gets his team, most of whom couldn’t hack it two years ago, to grind out points away at clubs who have better players, bigger crowds and more experience.

                  A repeat of what Millwall and Sheffield It’s have achieved this season will be great and even what the Lillyshites have achieved in their third season back in the Championship.
                  I will be there whatever.

                    I tell you what we need to improve, our pace in the side, and the tempo we play the game at.

                    We won’t get away with the slowly slowly approach against some of these teams. There’s a blooming big difference now between Championship and League One.

                    That’s my biggest concern.
