Just watched a brilliant interview by a lad called Jay with Paul Cook.
Great questions and a real insight into our former player and manager.
He spoke with great depth and passion proving in a lot of ways that his style of management was of a time when managers were given time to build a good team And develop young up and coming players.
A feature that existed many many years ago, Shades of the late Bill Shankly in Cook without a doubt.
If only he had done an interview such as this when he managed the club , he would have had a lot less hassle and criticism from the supoorters.
Biggest revelation for me was that the average wage in the championship is £18,000 a week or £936,000 per year !!!
A frightening statistic and ridiculous given I saw very few individuals last season worthy of that !
I hope he gets back into football soon ( he wouldn’t need an interview , the interview panel could just watch this podcast) as his ethics ,style and ability to develop young players on a small budget would be a valuable asset to any club when this rotten pandemic ends.9 October 2020 at 7:19 pm #189688He has done a few good podcasts, check out the one with Krasner it may change perceptions
9 October 2020 at 9:53 pm #189689He’s fucking terrible. If he wants to be a journo he needs to learn how to pronounce players names for a start off.
I wonder if fans will think he’s any good when the bill comes and him and that Harry lad have cost us a fucking fortune pretending they’re michael parkinson.
10 October 2020 at 9:49 am #189690Leave the lad alone, he may not be the best but at least he gets off his backside and tries to get the answers all us fans want to know.
More than can be said for our local Journo that either can’t be arsed or is scared of losing his cushy number!
Fair play to the lad.
Fuck the EFL
10 October 2020 at 10:16 am #189691The admins have him on a string bullitt lad.
Maybe Kendrick doesn’t bother them 24/7 because he knows it costs about 1.5k a time?
Like I said…let’s see if you and the rest of the protestors (did you ever get the answers you wanted from that? Krasner hasn’t left yet i see) think he’s done a good job when we get the bill and some chats in his bedroom have cost us a 5 or 6 figure sum.
10 October 2020 at 10:17 am #189692As for not being the best, we’d have been better with that lad who sold his toys asking the questions.
10 October 2020 at 3:35 pm #189693I’d love to see you do a interview and to see you stuttering away for the duration.
Like i said, give the lad a break you ignorant tw*t!

You’ve obviously never seen Super Stu after a few beers when he bumps into someone of note. It can be quite the experience
10 October 2020 at 4:37 pm #189704Love to see him in the Brick on a Saturday evening after the match, some of them lads would tie him in knots!
Fuck the EFL
10 October 2020 at 8:30 pm #189712His podcasts are interesting, he has had some pretty high profile guests. like his style or not he gets them to talk openly and at length, now in my book if u r a journalist u want to get people to talk openly, so he is doing something right.
15 October 2020 at 10:48 am #189736Agree with DNR 100%
If being a good interviewer is getting your subject to talk honestly and openly then the lad does well in my view.
A few high profile TV interviewers could learn a lesson or two from him.16 October 2020 at 6:18 am #189744Well I think Jay Whittle has been brilliant throughout. The last one he did with Krasner answered an array of questions I wanted the answers to. It also exposed the Americans who hadn’t a clue how things work in this country re administration. Since July the 1st there has been nothing but bullshit and guesswork on social media and the only thing resembling the truth has been Jay’s podcasts especially with Krasner and Nixon. When all this is sorted I’m hoping I’ll be able to buy the lad a pint for his efforts.
16 October 2020 at 1:38 pm #189745I’ve enjoyed his podcasts & he has got to the nitty gritty a lot more than some respected journalists.
16 October 2020 at 10:46 pm #189746For what it matters to the people with narrow minds….
I think Jay has been excellent. Plenty of good interviews with people in the thick of things. Always gets some interesting information from the guest of the show.
If you don’t like what he does, do something better. Oh and hope you receive less criticism, than he has
Any keyboard warriors fancy a go ….. no I didn’t think so, too easy to be a critic, anything else takes hard work
