Are never disappointed, but they are also not always wrong.
FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that
7 February 2011 at 12:47 am #58598I’m not a pessimist, nor an optimist.
I’m a realist.
When I come on here and say “we’re going down” believe it or not, it’s NOT that I want us to. At the end of the day I’m a Latics fan who has watched the club for 25 years, through thick and thin, good times, bad times. If I genuinely thought we were staying up, I would be saying so all over this board.
But I don’t. Why? Just because we’ve been mediocre all season, haven’t picked enough points up, and are hitting the crunch time of the seasons run-in, where we need around 14 points to stay up. And then I assess the games we have coming up, and the teams we have to face. Nearly every one of them has something to play for. Title contenders, relegation battlers, teams like Stoke and Sunderland who are dreaming of Europe.
All I am really guilty for is trying to be honest and realistic about our situation. I just think this season, is a season too far.
If all this makes me a true ‘Darkside’ member, then ok then. I’m a ‘darkie’.
7 February 2011 at 12:53 am #58599…ok then. I’m a ‘darkie’.:o

No one’s actually saying we will stay up we all just feel alot better about our prospects since this time last week. Saying that you’re a realist and everyone who gives us a slight chance is too optimistic is quite naive.
I think to always look on the bright side and not always give up is better than saying we are as good as relegated and there is not a chance we will stay up -
