22 August 2011 at 12:57 pm #70266They are my team and I have supported them for 35 years through thick and thin.Yeah, right!
22 August 2011 at 3:23 pm #70274I am new to these forums, despite my advancing age!! and what strikes me is the negativity of a lot of the posts- we played swansea, away, their first game at home in the prem.-probably the worst time to play them, yet we got a draw-didn’t play well, but should have won-I know the team is far from perfect, but give them a chance- ;)Please dont let it put you off posting in the future!
Unfortunately a combination of moaners and wind up merchants get a kick out of coming on here and posting regular rubbish…
22 August 2011 at 10:23 pm #70296They are my team and I have supported them for 35 years through thick and thin. I just refuse to admit that 2 draws against Norwich and Swansea is a good start to the season. They are 2 of the poorest teams in the league and we could not beat either and have still not scored a goal in open play.[/quote]
So would you sooner have started with utd, chelsea, arsenal, city ship a load of goals have every ounce of confidence knocked out of us.No matter who we have played it is a good start we have 2pts on the board and 1 goal against, and norwich 1 of the lesser teams in your eyes got a draw also against a stoke side that the week before got a draw against chelsea22 August 2011 at 11:05 pm #70301Yes, Hindley – still, after all this time, we haven’t scored a goal from open play this season. You are one, miserable, negative f*****
I always try and keep my posts about the football and try never to make the posts personal. Everyone has an opinion and is this not the place to voice your opinion? I don’t boo the team and support them for the 90 minutes of every game.

He’s right though.
No-one is saying you can’t post your opinions, but they are almost invariably negative and moaning.

We have been in the promised land for 7 seasons and perhaps foolishly I thought we would be quite established by now. And by that I don’t think Europe or even top 10 but perhaps not just avoiding relegation every year. I know small crowds :teasing-blah: :teasing-blah: but we should be in a better position than every team coming up. And we sell our best players as soon as an offer comes in and in most cases don’t replace them.
Even if that is right way to run my football club it still fooks me off and gets me frustrated.

I’ll put the same question to you that I put to Bicky.
What would you do differently? If you can’t offer a credible alternative and the way the club is run “fooks you off and gets you frustrated”, then I suggest you support someone else or stop watching football altogether.
Oh, and by using clichés such as “the promised land” makes me take you even less seriously.

So basically you are happy with anywhere between 17th and 11th, which is exactly where we have been every year. What’s the issue?23 August 2011 at 11:49 pm #70357We have been in the promised land for 7 seasons and perhaps foolishly I thought we would be quite established by now. I don’t give a flyer wether you take me seriously or not and to suggest I support someone else just show’s what you know about football.

I see you have not managed to offer up any radical new ideas on how differently the club should be run to achieve whatever it is you think the club should be achieving. :think:24 August 2011 at 3:08 am #70361We have been in the promised land for 7 seasons and perhaps foolishly I thought we would be quite established by now. Sammy what you write is not even worth posting once, and if you were any funnier I may even laugh.
Nah may be not.
