I’m pressuming now that 99% of people who were going to buy season tickets have already done so.Will the sale of Titus be the first of many?
Hope not but if I was a betting man I would not put money on it. Oh for our club to show a bit of ambition and keep our best players and add to them instead of selling and having to replace them
Have you not grasped it yet the player more than likely wants to go ,so shall we keep the unhappy player on the money he his earning in the reserves or sell for a bit of a profit and try and buy a replacement

So Titus is only worth £750,000 when still under contract and Alcaraz wants to come does he?????

Why do you choose to believe that the fee is £750k and not somewhere between that and the £5m that has been quoted at the top end of this deal? Or do you believe everything you read in the papers and pick the bits that suit your argument?
And anyway, why would you care? It’s not your bank balance we are talking about, it’s Whelan’s.
Says £1m on BBC website. Thats not a good starting price for him – if that is true, Sunderland have got a bargain if it goes to £5m on appearances or not.

I think you are mistaking caring for the club with wanting to have a pop at every given opportunity without having the first idea of what running one is all about.
I care about the club. That’s why I’d like there still to be one for me to watch for the next god knows how many years.
The thing with this and quite a few other threads is that people get worked up about transfer pricing, and yes it doesnt come out of our pickets, but Whelan is a businessman, he is doing a good job with transfers. I think we have only spent net £3m since we came into the premiership. Which is remarkable.

I’d rather see the club in the championship and financially secure than to see us remain in the premiership in crippling debt and with administration hanging over the place.
We’ve seen clubs of similar stature succumb to debt, financial insecurity and real prospects of liquidation because of their eagerness to remain in the top division, and I don’t think it’s worth it.
Sad to see Bramble leave, if indeed he does, but none of the defenders had reason to be proud of last season, a mix-up could be refreshing.
