These Spanish need get there arses in super fcukin quick.
21 players contracts end on or before the 1st July 2021.
      5 end in Jan 21
In the summer if we go do down we could potentially not have single first teamer playing this season playing in League Two.
McGurk needs a contract given along side a good few other young lads.

Crazy times never seem to end for Latics. I’ve never not been in a season were were steady eddie mid table no on goings

Yet ,there are people out there who don’t want the Spanish to take over.Which would leave us back to square one and it would take months for the EFL to approve any alternative bidder ( if there are any ).We should be thanking our lucky stars this looks like going through next week.We can the get some players in and get existing players tied down on new contracts.

I just have my doubts they have the funding to fix the huge damage made by both the IEC and the vvankers called admin.

Getting Leganes up to La Liga is a walk in the park compared to League One to Prem. I’d say 1/2 of our Championship spend more than half of La Liga.

And, I have this sneaky feeling WATCH THIS SPACE
The ground will be sold not to make money but to lessen the huge monthly running cost.

          Or
Or I’d say charge those fat chubsters more than 10% of all gate fee which right now is 10% of nothing.
          The Spanish first job
10 players in and no trash and give Richardson the job

We have to get behind the Spanish. If other local bidders were really interested they would have made a bid before assets were sold off like the Euxton training ground and most of the players.Right at the start of all this nightmare Nandy ,Lenegan ,the Council and others stated they wanted Latics to continue but then proceeded to do absolutely nothing about it.It looked like we were going under until the Spanish put the money on the table.Let’s give them our full support.

The way it comes across to me is they won’t be doing any investing, in fact quite the opposite, sure I read something about them scrapping the academy.
If anything, that is the one thing we need to carry on, or the future players or player sales will see us die anyway.
Why are the administrators the only ones that think these are the best option?

Away a lot, but always watching

I think they are looking to invest further into the academy. They want to invest in players and then sell some of them on.Nothing wrong with that ,even at the peak of the Whelan Premier league era we always sold at least a couple of players a season for a sizeable profit. The Latics fans I have spoken to are very positive about the Spanish ,they are football people who know how to run a football club that punches above its weight so I don’t know where you get it’s only the administrators that think they are the best option.

Admins only ones, I presume this because
                  1 EFL don’t think they’re fit
Firstly because their figures included the Supporters money, then resubmitted with a cost neutral proposal. Add to that the more than dubious characters in the background
2 WASC don’t seem to want them, I presume because they tried to buy the club with money they didn’t say they could have and therefore rightly wonder whether they have the funds or the right plan for WAFC
3 Lisa Nandy is dead set against it
4 Wigan Council don’t back it.

Its enough for me to wonder why an exclusivity keeps getting extended when there has been other(better) interest.
I say better, but we don’t really know it, though I think everything should be on the table when the Spanish consistently fail the EFL checks.

                   :-(

(1)The EFL did not approve one person ,Cristo .He has since been removed from the Spanish bid team. The EFL are now happy with Moreno.
                    (2) The figures did not include the Supporters club money.
(3)Wigan Athletic Supporters club are actively trying to help conclude the deal as soon as possible.( please read their Christmas statement ).
                    (4) Lisa Nandy and the Council and Lenegan for that matter have stated they want a local owner. However ,since the 1st of July they have done nothing about it.In the meantime assets have been sold off.The club was on offer at a rock bottom price ,but still nothing from Nandy and Co.
Who would your choice of owner be ? from the information I have seen ( I stand to be corrected ) there are no viable alternatives.

Very well put Pheonix, I just wish Mr Moreno would get a move on.
