The effort given by the players today was top drawer. Massive gulf in talent between the two sides but none of them stopped trying at any point. After watching United capsize and give up so easily last week then hats off to the boys under ridiculous circumstances.
Special mention to Tom Naylor who has been out the side lately but was exceptional today.

Yeah we tried but when all said and done the Rekik stupid first tackle (not sure wtf he was thinking) cost us any chance so I can’t read much into it with 10 men.
Fletcher had the best chance of the game only to fluff it.
The only thing I can say in Mahoney’s defence, at least he was brave enough to leave few players out and try 2 up front but bare that we spent large parts of the game chaing shadows.
As for shadows ?, I see Tel Al had a statement released on his twitter to try and settle the natives but I’m not convinced.
So were is the 125% of wages money in an holding account gone ?. We were told by the EFL we have to have it in place this way, any missed wages can be paid and points deducted rescinded.4 missed payments in 8 months has lost my way.
Yes stupid sending off but he’s only a kid and far bigger and better players have done the same and worse in the past.
I actually think the Caulker header was a better chance. He headed it straight down the middle when a foot either side was a goal. I’m not a Fletcher fan but I actually give credit to the keeper for the save.
I agree something doesn’t feel quite right but I’ve got to believe and hope they still have the club at heart. I’ve got to believe that by releasing the statements it means they aren’t throwing the towel in.
I just don’t understand why they weren’t done before the game. Poor Maloney looked absolutely shattered before and after the game. He deserves better than this
