It proved that we don’t need Naismith on the pitch, it is like we have ten men when he plays anyway.We had him down as MOM for the time he was on the field. He created the chance that zipped across the box that should have Been tucked away. I’ve been one if his biggest critics since watching him embaress himself at Ibrox, but he’s slowly but surely growing in confidence every game. Fair play to the lad.

When we have a full squad again, I think Naismith will be decent on the left in a more advanced position.
He’s woeful at defending, but he can beat a man and put a cross in – which is something few of our wide players can do.

I doubt we will see too much of him when we have a full squad again, but I agree, he can take a man on and his crosses are excellent most of the time.
It’s not his fault he isn’t a defender. We should have started the season with cover or had our own left back with Robinson as cover.
In the few games he has played out of position he has done his best apart from getting himself sent off but there isn’t much said other than support when Sam has his rush of blood. Like you say, other players like Sam can put in indifferent performances week in week out and you don’t hear a peep against them.

Think its also why a player with his lower league pedigree was signed on a three year deal in the first place for The Championship more than just that friendly. Most fans wouldnt even have expected him to be starting for the first team, never mind starting out of position.
