Well, well done Cockney Latic members!
I only logged on this morning to titter at the undoubted outrage I would find this morning following Pochettino’s comments yesterday that the FA cup isn’t worth winning because “Wigan won it once and look where they are now?”
I’m amazed. Not one death threat or burning effigy in sight.
Perhaps this forum is growing up after all.
Or perhaps no-one saw or heard his comments.
19 September 2017 at 12:12 pm #162068Another who thinks the Premier League is everything. Happy to finish in the top 4 every year as opppsed to actually winning something.

As so often happens …. he is criticising others to deflect the spot light from his own inadequacies and inabilities. Decrying the success of little Wigan winning the FA Cup against a team whose value was probably greater than the entire money spent at Wiagan FC since 1932 deserves nothing more than a Chilcott inquiry, and the out come will undoubtedly be that of the Chilcott enquiry ….. already decided before it started. For saying such an outrageous thing he should be put in the stocks at the DW on Saturday afternoons and made to do 200 hours of community service in Billinge on a Saturday after noon, and then book him on a Ryan air flight home.
But like the Chilcott enquiry, nothing will happen. We’ll continue to bask in the glory of that amazing achievement, playing against a mighty team who had real desire to win but were unable to. We know that he is only saying it so that he already has his excuse for when his team gets no further than the second round.
The good news is that if by some strange quirk of fate they do win it, we know it’ll mean nothing to him. Yeah right!! String him up by his balls!!
Enough Grrrrr, anger and vitriol Griff??!!

I have heard his comments griff and to me it just cements the fact that the Prem its players, managers owners and agents have become totally detached from reality. Also it shows just how massive our victory in the cup was and if you look at ourselves now and Pompey maybe because the greed league and champions (and umpteen other teams who were not good enough) league have taken over. Has the cup lost its status a little?. To me never do I feel offended by what Poch said?, no I feel proud as fook that our triumph is being mentioned with us in footballs 3rd tier.
19 September 2017 at 1:59 pm #162072I saw it too. Thought about posting about it.
And then realised that he is a sad man who is trying to deflect from his own team’s lack of success, and covering his back for a loss in the cup.
So I decided to ignore it.
We are where we are. The sound bites of Pochettino are irrelevant to me.19 September 2017 at 2:26 pm #162073He does have a point!
19 September 2017 at 6:56 pm #162081Hope we get to the third round and draw them at their middin ( Wembley ) and batter the conceited fookers. The gulf between the leagues is greater now than in any other time in history; so our historic win deserves the highest of accolades; and not some pathetic put down by a Johnny Foreigner who is stealing a living out of English football.
19 September 2017 at 8:09 pm #162083What’s all the fuss about?
He’s making the point that we prioritised winning the FA Cup at the risk of losing our Premier League status, which is exactly what happened. For Wigan Athletic that risk was worth taking because it was always a struggle and sooner or later would end up getting relegated.
I for one would never swop winning the FA Cup for Premier League survival. Not now, not ever.
It’s tiresome this FA Cup bashing. Make winning the thing an automatic Champions League place and then see how much importance the “big” clubs give it.
19 September 2017 at 10:14 pm #162085I heard that we were mentioned as past winners of the FA Cup by some foreigner but didn’t know who he was so I didn’t bother investigating.
Now I know who he is and who he manages, it means even less, what does he know about the English League and Cups and more importantly what does he know about WAFC. Just another over rated foreign manager sticking his nose in where it is not wanted.
If I had been asked at the start of that glorious cup run if being relegated could be swapped for an FA Cup Final win, I would have agreed there and then and snatched their hand off.19 September 2017 at 10:22 pm #162086Who is this Pocohontis geyser? Is he in charge of Liverpool?
What a knob. Many fans would consider the FA Cup as the greatest prize in English football but for these freaks finishing third or fourth in the greed league is more important.
He should stick to starring in Disney animations. Prick?!!20 September 2017 at 3:44 am #162092Just another over rated foreign manager…….An accusation often levelled at a certain Roberto Martinez.
20 September 2017 at 12:30 pm #162095Nottingham forest have won the european cup TWICE & look where they are.
